    Description

Hi, I'm Luka. I'm 41 years old and a pretty ordinary guy, calm and relaxed, but when something really interests me, I get really passionate about it. I'm not one to talk too much—I prefer taking action instead.

One day, I realized that I wanted more out of life, so I quit my job and decided to travel the world with just a backpack. It was an amazing three-year journey where I got to explore different countries and experience new cultures.

Now that I'm back home, I'm working on various projects and one of them was building a tiny house using a shipping container. I could use some help with tasks like painting, cleaning, basic construction work, gardening... I'm particularly interested in hosting couples who have experience with manual labor, gardening, DIY projects, using power tools, or knowledge of house restoration and maintenance.

If you have skills in any of these areas and you're interested in joining me I would be really happy to have you on board.

I have traveled a lot and have experience hosting people and volunteering, so I know what it takes to be a welcoming host for volunteers. When I have time I really enjoy spending it with my guests, getting to know them, and showing them around the town and the surrounding area whenever I have the time.

Having hosted many people before, I do my best to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for my guests. Whether it's while working together, sharing a meal or just spending time together, I believe in creating connections and making memorable experiences for those who stay with me.

    Help

I really value the help of volunteers who have experience in general maintenance, painting, gardening, and cleaning. If you're skilled in working with power tools and enjoy DIY projects, you are especially welcome. Volunteer hours expected: 20 hours/week in exchange for private accomodation in tiny house and expenses for breakfast.

    Accommodation

Volunteers will get to stay in their own private tiny home, which you can see in the pictures. I personally lived in this home for almost a year, and now it's used to accommodate guests. It has everything you need and is located in a beautiful shared garden next to my parents' house. If you're interested in tiny homes and have any questions, feel free to ask.

I won't be able to provide all your meals, but I'll happily cover the expenses for a generous breakfast and essential items like oil and spices and you're welcome to use the kitchen in exchange for 20h/week help. I am sorry if this arrangement doesn't meet all your expectations, as I currently can't allocate more time or money to this project. However, considering the opportunity to have a private place to stay in a town like Pula, especially during the summer I hope you find this reasonable.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Pula, as well as the entire Istria region, is well-known for its stunning beaches and fascinating history. The good news is that both the beach and the city center are just a short 15-minute bike ride away, and I'm happy to provide bicycles for your use. Pula is a small town, so bicycles are more than enough to explore and enjoy all the wonderful things this charming place has to offer.
