  Hello and Welcome !
  
  We are happy to welcome you to our home for the third year !
  
  We are a couple in the mid thirties with a little girl, Maé, borned in march 2022. We also share our daily life with Gaïa, our adorable dog.
  
  In the more or less short term, we want to live as locally as possible, thanks to our cultures that we are implementing for the third year. We want to move towards autonomy as much as possible, one step at a time, based on the principles of permaculture and agroforestry.

  Nous sommes heureux de pouvoir vous accueillir chez nous pour la 3e année maintenant !
  
  Nous sommes un couple dans la mi trentaine, avec une petite fille, Maé, née en mars 2022. Nous partageons aussi notre quotidien avec Gaïa, notre adorable chienne.
  
  À plus ou moins court terme, nous souhaitons vivre le plus localement possible, grâce à nos cultures que nous mettons en place pour la 3e année . Nous voulons aller vers l’autonomie autant que possible, un pas à la fois, en nous basant sur les principes de la permaculture et de l’agroforesterie.

  We discovered Workaway during a year-long trip to New Zealand and rich in these many experiences, we did it again when we returned to Quebec. We were looking forward to being at home to continue the adventure as hosts, Workaway having brought us where we are today. Our goal through this approach is to exchange on our mutual experiences, to share enriching moments and to live beautiful meetings.

  Nous avons découvert Workaway lors d’un voyage d’un an en Nouvelle-Zélande et riche de ces nombreuses expériences, nous en avons refait à notre retour au Québec. Nous avions hâte d’être chez nous afin de poursuivre l’aventure en tant que hôtes, Workaway nous ayant amené là où nous sommes aujourd’hui. Notre but à travers cette démarche est d’échanger sur nos expériences mutuelles, de partager des moments enrichissants et de vivre de belles rencontres.

  Help

  Moved to Orford in 2020, we are looking for one or two person(s), ideally over the age of 23, who would be motivated by our project, autonomous and loving nature (and child and pet !!).
  We prefer to start with a week-long agreement and if everyone is happy, there is no time limit on our side!
  
  The tasks could, for example, consist of:
  - Paint
  - Take care of the chicken coop
  - Participate in the development / maintenance of cultivation mounds
  - Help in the vegetable patch and in the greenhouse
  - Take care of Gaïa, by going for a walk with her or making her do exercises!
  - Take care of our daugter
  - Restore our trailer
  - Use your strengths and talents, whatever they are!
  Help with meals (kitchen and dishes) would also be greatly appreciated!

  Emménagés à Orford en 2020, nous voici donc à la recherche d’une ou deux personne(s), idéalement âgée de plus de 23 ans, qui serait motivée par notre projet, autonome et aimant la nature (et les enfants et les animaux!).
  Nous préférons commencer avec une entente d’une semaine, de façon à s’engager sur du court terme et pouvoir s’ajuster (d’un bord comme de l’autre!). Par contre, si tout le monde est heureux, il n’y a aucune limite de temps de notre côté !
  Les tâches à effectuer pourront, par exemple, consister à :
  - Peindre
  - Entretenir le poulailler
  - Participer à l’élaboration/à l’entretien de buttes de culture
  - Aider au potager et dans la serre
  - Prendre soin de Gaïa, en allant marcher avec elle ou en lui faisant faire des exercices !
  - S'occuper un peu de notre fille
  - Restaurer notre roulotte
  - Utiliser vos forces et vos talents, quels qu’ils soient !
  De l’aide pour les repas (cuisine et vaisselle) serait aussi grandement appréciée !

  Accommodation

  Help times are flexible, adjustable according to the weather but preferably in the morning. We will ask maximum 4 hours per day (depending on the tasks), 6 days per week.
  Depends on the availabilities, you could stay downstairs (with your own room and bathroom) or in the camper (caravan) with a shared bathroom with us.
  We try to eat a balanced diet, most of the time without meat / fish (except when we know their environment of origin!).

  Les heures d’aide sont flexibles, ajustables selon la météo mais de préférence le matin. Nous demanderons environ 4h par jour (selon les tâches), 6 jours par semaine.
  Selon les disponibilités, vous pourriez dormir en bas (avec votre propre chambre et salle de bain) ou dans notre roulotte (salle de bain partagée avec nous).
  Nous essayons de manger équilibré, la plupart du temps sans viande/poisson (sauf quand nous connaissons leur milieu de provenance!).

  What else ...

  Our land extends over 5 acres, mostly in the forest, at the gates of Mont-Orford park. We are 2 minutes from Lac Fraiser, 15 minutes from Magog and Sherbrooke (and 1h15 from Montreal). The car is not compulsory (we could pick you up) but it is highly recommended if you want to be free to move outside in your spare time. The region has beautiful and diverse places, especially if you like outdoor activities!

  Notre terrain s’étend sur 5 âcres, en majorité en forêt, aux portes du parc du Mont-Orford. Nous sommes à 2 minutes du lac Fraiser, 15 minutes du mont Orford, de Magog et Sherbrooke (et à 1h15 de Montréal). Un juste milieu entre nature et ville ! La voiture n’est pas obligatoire (nous pourrions venir vous chercher) mais elle est fortement recommandée si vous souhaitez être libre de vous déplacer à l’extérieur dans vos temps libres. La région possède de magnifiques endroits divers et variés, surtout si vous aimez les activités d’extérieur !
