We loved having Tomomi stay with us, what an easy workaway to host! She is such a kind and caring person, and is amazing with children. It was wonderful to see Liam, my 3 year old, bond with her immediately. He still talks about Tomomi!
Tomomi cooked some lovely meals for us, did some cleaning and played and took care of Liam. With a baby sick

A bright, easygoing and kind person, thanks for everything Tomomi. We hope to see you again - in Norway, Ireland or even Japan sometime!

My first Workaway experience was absolutely amazing! I spent a week with Michelle, Liam, and Tedhg while Declan was working abroad.
Michelle was very kind, friendly, and warmly welcoming, always ensuring my comfort throughout my stay. Liam is a lovely, smart, and energetic boy, and I truly enjoyed playing with him. Although Tedhg was unwell for

During my stay, I mainly looked after Liam (and occasionally Tedhg), prepared dinner, and handled some light cleaning tasks. Michelle introduced me to the beautiful Rauland area and recommended several scenic spots and a charming cafe. She also shared Norwegian and Irish cultures and parenting which was incredibly beneficial for my studies.
Despite my limited English proficiency, Michelle consistently made an effort to understand me, which I deeply appreciated. The family's home is wonderfully located, and I enjoyed walking in the surrounding snowy landscape of Norway.
I highly recommend this host family to anyone who loves children and appreciates breathtaking landscapes.
Thank you very much for this opportunity. I hope to meet you again soon!

Michelle is kind of like a superhero...: she is very warm, welcoming, honest, clear about her expectations, a great singer, patient and loving to her kids, thankful for the help and wants the best for her guests. Combining all these things is quite special I think :) I really enjoyed my stay in Rauland, the view from the house is beautiful, the

A great first experience!
Declan and Michelle are very welcoming, kind and friendly, and their little boy Liam is simply lovely !!

I mainly helped them with cooking, houseworks , tidying up and looking after Liam a bit.
I appreciated that Michelle gave me so much information about the city, things to do in the area etc. She genuinely cares about her guests.
Their accommodation (in Norway) is also well located in the small town, and if you are dynamic, motivated and a little creative there is plenty to do, hard to get bored ;)

Janina was a lovely addition to our family for 2 and a half weeks. Baby Liam was very sick when she arrived but after a few days, when he felt better, he loved hanging out with her. Janina is very kind, she really spent time with Liam. She cooked some lovely meals and was generally just very helpful around the house. Thanks for everything Janina.

It was my first work-experience and what can I say: It was an amazing time.

Rauland is a little town located in great landscape. Michelle showed me around and recommend some places, where I was allowed to go by car. Thanks to her I was able to join some university activities, so I learned about traditional folk dance and music and card weaving. It was very interesting and I am glad to had this unique experience.

Maria, what can I say, she was a godsend. She arrived at a difficult time, just before we were moving to another country. Life was busy and stressful but Maria took it all in her stride. It was my first work-away experience: really three amazing weeks! I really appreciated their dynamism and initiative; they often took me by car to visit some neighboring villages or they even lent me a bicycle to better explore the area.
I mainly took care of Liam while Declan and Michelle were working: I had no trouble playing, looking after, and preparing lunch for him. Liam is a beautiful, clever and funny baby. I adored staying with him and I miss all the family!
I am so grateful for this opportunity and for their trust. I hope to see them again soon, maybe in Italy!!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Matias and Sabrina stayed with us in July. They were always kind and willing to do anything that was asked of them. Fabiana and Jonas spent three great weeks with us. From the moment they arrived they were so helpful, and immediately bonded with baby Liam! They are easygoing, friendly, interesting and fun! And most of all, it can be said they are hardworking. They painted all of the downstairs of our house - and that was no easy task - they did an amazing job.

Our first workway experience couldn't have been happier! We spent three weeks with Michelle, Declan and the baby Liam at their amazing home, and in that time we felt truly at home. The work we did, painting the house, was extremely peaceful because Michele and Declan are super kind, positive and always willing to talk and exchange experiences.

Michelle and Declan also provided bicycles so that we had more autonomy to take super pleasant rides through the village, which is very beautiful. In addition to this kindness, Michele took us by car to visit some neighboring villages and some of the most beautiful landscapes in Ireland. We also had the opportunity to learn more about Irish history and enjoy traditional Irish music.
In short, a wonderful family that captivated us, becoming our friends, and allowing us to have a very happy and pleasant experience. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
