  • Description

    Our family live and operate small businesses on two small, beautiful and friendly Caribbean islands.

    If you enjoy gardening and appreciate the beauty of nature, gardens, plants, flowers and exotic trees, or have a friendly disposition to help welcome and assist with tourists, then this project on the tropical island of Nevis is for you. Intimate, charming and welcoming with a good dose of Caribbean charm and a majestic central mountain, it is truly a gem of a tropical island paradise.

    This is a great opportunity to experience joining our international team in various capacities of the operation of a popular tourist attraction - meet visitors from around the world; design, implement garden features, or maintain existing ones such as the waterways, and nurseries. YES! weeding is involved:-)

    Creative or eager-to-learn new gardeners, repair and maintenance (experienced and DIY) with varied skillsets; social media experts, event planning enthusiasts, or, just lend us a pair of helping hands to improve nature and our infrastructure.

    At this time we especially welcome;
    1) those in the hospitality industry such as waitstaff and bar-staff for our fundraising events.
    2) computer savvy people with solid skills in either accounting and Excel, and website maintenance and social media.
    3) Handymen/women with medium to good construction/repair//carpentry skills

    On days off you may choose to hike to the mountaintop or to the waterfalls, take a dip in the hot springs, walk around the historic picturesque town center, visit the various beaches or snorkel, and listen to reggae music at lively beach bars. we have had several volunteers either ask to extend their stay or to return for another stint. We have been privileged and enjoyed welcoming visitors from various countries, with multiple languages and cultures.

    Accommodations available in a private cottage with bath and galley kitchen; or when occupied, private room with shared kitchen and bath.

    There is a possibility of visiting both islands, depending on how things go on the first stay. Long term and couples welcomed. No smokers please. Thank you.

    At our second location on Anguilla, our lovingly constructed family home suffered great damage during Hurricane Irma and we have since been meticulously restoring the houses, the surrounding structures and gardens. We have strived to use as much recyclable material as possible to make the repairs. Currently, we have now paused the heavy work and concentrating on garden work, light maintenance, cleaning and daily pet care, for now. We have 3 dogs - Topsy, Turvy, and Twister, Peanut the Parrot, Whiskers the cat, and numerous land tortoises. There is much to see and do in Anguilla as a tourist, including visiting some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, one of which is a few doorsteps away.

    Images with beaches are on Anguilla; while those with nature are on Nevis.
    Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
