    Description

On our small farm we have chicken, other poultry and goats some agricultural farming, forest work and a vegetable garden. Typical work is taking care of animals: feeding, working the manure, garden work. These kinds of work have priority but we try to find work that is interesting to the volunteer. You live quite romantically in a big camping car. Meals are in the main house with me and all other guests so is the bathroom use.

In fall, winter or spring, accomodation is in the house but if You seek adventure, You can stay in the camping car, there is a woodstove inside.

Usually there will be only one volunteer per room and of course I provide sheets and blankets.

There is a lot of work in the forest right now and vutting trees with a sawmill. So: help is most warmly welcome!

Feel free to call or write an email!

Of course this is an organic farm with lots of opportunities to do nature preservation.

Meanwhile all familiy members moved out so I´m living here on my own.

There is great cycling and rock climbing around here, maybe we could even go for some tours together.

I expect about 5 hours of work a day - with the weekend off - for food and lodging

There is no minimum or maximum duration of Your stay but if You want to stay for a longer period of time I recommend working for a week or so and then to decide if we want to work together for longer.

The farm is near Hohnstein in the Nationalpark "Sächsische Schweiz" and a bus stop for the bus from Pirna heading for Sebnitz is right in front of the house.

I am vaccinated against Corona and I am carful but not afraid at all; so You are welcome in these special times as well.

    People of all kind welcome!

    Yours
    Dietrich

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I´m open to all ideas for founding community: with a family or with individuals who´d like to live, work, learn together. We could even negotiate for a longer period of time, there´s enough space in the house. I´d love to have children around too.

We run a small farm , 15 hectares of agricultural land , and keep poultry ( 700 laying hens , 30 geese , broiler ) and a few goats . Even though we have been living here since 2003 and practice farming since 2007 , we are still learners . We are busy with the expansion of agriculture ( vegetables for self-sufficiency , agricultural crops as forage , firewood in the forest , bees ) and the renovation of the courtyard building . Volunteers are welcome . When designing the work we want to consider the interests of volunteers . Bicycles can be hired from us . Everything else can be discussed by phone or by email . Gladly also in English !
