*️️️️️️*️️️️️️*️️️️️️Update Sept. 30, 2017 - We have responded to volunteer inquiries so it is likely our position are filled for now. We would still be accepting inquiries for 2018.

The retreat center is located on 210 acres in the California coastal mountains of Sonoma County. The area is extremely bio-diverse and home to rare plants and habitats. The Foundation is a non-profit nature conservancy preserving redwood forest and habitat.

The retreat center is a place sustained primarily by LGBT for spiritual growth, personal development, yoga, body work, erotic work, community, movement and more. Half the groups who present here however are groups lead by women, and non-exclusive groups of men and women from all orientations and gender expressions.

We are currently looking for volunteers who would like to prepare meals and rooms for our guests who come from all over the world.

We require each volunteer work 25 hours a week in exchange for room, food, utilities, and internet. We also request you to commit 8 weeks (or more) as we invest time in training you also. Non-smokers are preferred.

A "normal" week at the retreat center means we have guests on site Thursday or Friday through Sunday evening. During those group events, the kitchen serves 3 meals a day so our chef needs help prepping food in the kitchen and washing dishes. We also need someone to serve the breakfast meal who can work more independently with the advice, but not the presence of the chef.

During the week, rooms need to be cleaned, bathrooms cleaned, laundry done, beds changed, floors vacuumed, dusting and such. We have 16 rooms and 8 tents (with cots and bedding) and we normally have a staff of 10 volunteers to help share the load.

Our chef provides wonderful, fresh, nutritious meals when groups are on site. Volunteers are welcome to partake heartily in the buffets offered in the dining room at these times. When a group of guests is not on site, you may prepare your own meals in the kitchen and sometimes the staff get together and cook more like a family for some meals.

Travelers will enjoy the excellent weather of norther California. Our climate usually doesn't have extreme heat or cold. We have more a dry season in the summer and a wet season in the winter. Wet season brings the ferns, grasses, lichens, waterfalls and such while the dry season has beautiful sunny days and star filled nights.

Our retreat has a large gay presence among our staff and supporters. Some of our groups are mostly gay men, but a large majority are mixed men and women, gay, straight, and trans. Many of our retreats are encouraging participants to grow and become better people in the world. Our volunteers will be exposed to a wide diversity of people and situations and broaden their learning and growing potential.
