Grace did an outstanding job as a volunteer. She was always willing to help, proactive, and committed to every task she was assigned. Her sense of responsibility, positive attitude, and teamwork spirit made her a true asset to our project. Grace is reliable, easy-going, and highly adaptable, which made collaboration effortless and enjoyable. She consistently completed her duties with care and enthusiasm, showing great dedication throughout her stay. We are deeply grateful for the time and effort she devoted to supporting our team. We spent about 3 weeks at Andrew and Martins in September of this year and we absolutely loved it! As soon as we got their reply we were very exited to plan our trip and experience the Swedish countryside first hand. The communication was very transparent and precise from the beginning, thus organizing the trip was easily done and everything was very flexible. The moments we cherished most were cuddling with boots, swimming in the quarry, having dinner with Andrew and Martin and going to a artisan bakery in a nearby village. The work was fair and we both had fun doing it. During our time the tasks included gardening, taking care of boots, cleaning the residencies, laying pipes for floor heating, mixing concrete and transporting fire wood into the barn. Our only regret is that we didn‘t spend more time with our hosts because the three weeks went by in the blink of an eye! Hopefully this is not a goodbye but a „see you soon“ ;) With Love, Niclas & Doro

I’m very grateful to have had my first Workaway experience at Joci’s place! During my one-week stay, it was lovely to help in the garden, connect with the earth and animals, learn more about permaculture and the local culture, guide yoga classes, and share meals and beautiful moments together. Joci is an excellent host, with inspiring ideas and with a kind and generous heart. I highly recommend staying and working with him, and it would be super nice to return someday!

I stayed with Deborah and her family for 2 weeks in Brosville, and not only was the surrounding forest and house absolutely gorgeous but Deborah and her family was so welcoming and lovely, which really made my first ever workaway experience something special. Deborah is a beautiful soul and I adored being in her presence as well as playing with her cute grandchildren. It was also great to have the company of fellow workawayers, who were truly amazing people. I really recommend staying here for a peaceful and revitalising stay, thank you for you're kindness Deborah, I hope to come again soon :)

Guglielmo and Vittoria are amazing people. Once they arrived at our place, all the children were happy to talk to them because they were so kind and helpful. Your dedication to helping us here was truly amazing and unforgettable. Although our time together was short, it was very meaningful. I spent a little less than two weeks at Caroline and Anthony’s home in November. They were truly welcoming, giving me a private room and bathroom with everything I needed. The weather was excellent throughout my stay, so we were able to harvest olives, work in the garden, and eat outside every day. Everything was done together, sharing the work, the meals, and the evenings. I also had the chance to spend a few days with their daughter Celeste, Jo, Murad, and Julian. They are all friendly, kind, welcoming, and fun people. Everyone was patient with me when I had trouble with the language, and they gave me lots of useful gardening tips. As my first experience, it couldn’t have gone better! Thank you all for welcoming me into your wonderful family! Cloe

Naoya stayed with us for two weeks, one of which was a big renovation week. Naoya got in his work clothes abd was ready to help with all kind of tasks! In the second week he helped with some tasks we didn't manage to finish in the first week- especially cleaning and painting a room. (Naoya loves painting walls!) Some of the flatmates had long and deep conversations with him, and it is also possible to enjoy a quiet co existance. Naoya has a joyful, easygoing manner and was able to work independently and ask for new tasks if he had nothing to do. Thank you so much for your help and have a good time travelling!

Harpah and Luke stayed with us for three weeks and did various tasks. They were able to work independently and also search for new tasks in their own. They helped with sanding and oiling a floor, did some gardening and cooking and organised a part of our attic (which we have been wanting to do for years, thank you so much it looks so good!!!). Apart from that they enjoyed our city and nature and seemed to be always in a good and relaxed mood. Wish you all the best for your further travels!

We spent a nice summer working and living at Pradines. Virginie, George and their adult children are friendly and speak both english and french. The schedule and tasks were very varied (hight season/ low season) so it’s good to be flexible and adaptable. Very calm and natural environment and friendly clients. We stayed in a trailer (« mobile-home » in french) 10min walk from the reception, with kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms, surrounded by the beautiful nature specific of the limestone plateaux of the regions (les Causses). Canyons, rivers and supermarket less than 30min away. Night sky incredibly dark with so many stars. Thank you to Virginie, George and their family for this great experience and a well-needed, calm stay in the countryside in this gorgeous region! Sabine, Jacob and Sancho the dog.

We have hosted Nicki and Frank for one month with and couldn't have been happier. They helped us renovate the horse and donkeys pen; Frank also proved to be a skilled builder, gardener, and flowerbed cleaner, in addition to the routine chores of feeding the horses, walking the dogs, and feeding the dogs and cats. Nicki is a good cook, has great logistical skills, and is excellent at organizing and keeping the house clean. They are reliable, always happy to help, and available. They are a very nice couple, open to conversation and extremely polite. The coffees I drank with Nicki at the café in the square were very pleasant. Thanks to them, I was able to take a short vacation while they looked after their husband and the zoo. Thanks again for everything, Nicki & Frank. Stefano was a delightful, considerate young man. He stayed for about one week and it was as smooth as his trumpet playing. We chatted and he helped whenever he could. If not, he took care of himself. Stefano joined us in many circumstances and was unflustered and prepared to contribute and enjoy. I look forward to meeting him again someday.

Dani was an amazing person to have in our home. He stayed with us for about three weeks, is very kind, humble, funny and always up for a conversation. He constantly asked us for more tasks, so you could definitely say that he likes working with his hands. Among other things he helped us sand some doors and a floor, going dumpser diving, helping with the daily chores. He fit in so nicely in our community with his values and attitude. Dani, you're always welcome back if you need a place to stay for some days :)

Laura has been a wonderful, open-minded, curious guests, who stayed only for a brief time. We enjoyed streaming together through the days, working, cooking and exploring the environment and we found many reasons to laugh! Laura is totally reliable. Whatever she worked in the house, it got all done to my complete satisfaction and she is welcome to come back any time. Above all i will always remember the impressive yorkshire pudding she cooked, which she called "toad in the whole" and she can only describe herself the meaning of this unusual titel for a delicious dish :-)

I stayed there for about a month. The staff and volunteers were all very kind and fun. It was wonderful.

Khati stayed for a month and really enjoyed the whole experience. She helped me organise the other volunteers and always had a smile on her face. She has a very positive attitude and gets on well with other people. She's strong and helped with lots of different tasks. We will really miss her here! I'd recommend her to any other host without hesitation!

I feel really lucky that Bruna has decided to use Workaway for the first time on her trip to Vojvodina. Very clear communication from the beginning and once she was at our place she slotted in straight away with animals, plants and other humans as well. Observant and very percise with all the work she helped with. I only had time to work with her at the start of each day, but she continued independently with no problem. It was great to get to know her as well. Very positive energy and an inspiring youthful spirit. She has shared and beautifullly guilded her yoga practise with me on most of the evenings of her stay. I would 100% recommend other hosts to meet Bruna on her future trips. And of course you're always welcome to visit again!

Mein Aufenthalt bei Dirk könnte mehrere Seiten an Text sein, da ich so viel schönes erlebt und gefühlt habe in dieser Zeit. Ich kam von Brasilien, einer eher hektischen Gegend und habe die Stille und die Natur in vollsten Zügen genossen. Früh morgens aufstehen, Tee trinken, im Garten nach frischen Kräutern, frischen Orangen, Gemüse Ausschau halten und anschliessend pflücken, Frühstück vorbereiten mit all den nahrhaften und vielseitigen Früchten/Gemüse vom Land :) Wir haben sehr reife Kaki gepflückt und Konfitüre gemeinsam gemacht, aus all den Kräutern aus dem Garten Pesto hergestellt, Oliven angefangen zu pflücken und zu wässern ->für späteres einlegen. Die Küche von Dirk ist bestens ausgestattet um kreativ zu sein - und Dirk hat mir alle Freiheit gegeben mich da zu entfalten. Wir haben gemeinsam schöne Musik gehört und unsere Seelen baumeln lassen. Dirk hat mir das Community-Leben in Südportugal vom feinsten gezeigt und ich durfte viele neue tolle Leute kennenlernen. Heide, Dirks liebe Nachbarin hat uns oft besucht und wir sie auch :) sowie auch weitere Freunde von Dirk, welche zum Tee, Tasse Kako, Kuchen, Brot und Marmelade vorbeikamen. Es war unheimlich schön mit all den Freunden schöne Gespräche zu teilen und auch tiefer in ihre Lebensgeschichten eintauchen zu dürfen. Michele, meine Freundin hat mich in Portugal besucht und Dirk war so freundlich sie ebenfalls auf der Farm aufzunehmen. Rundum war es für mich eine unvergessliche Erfahrung und bin sehr dankbar dafür Dirk. Alles Liebe, Licht und Frieden, Aferdita

I stayed at Atte's farm in the end of August for a week. It was a last minute plan from my side, the communication with Atte was really easy and im really thankful for the opportunity to stay there when my other plans got messed up:)) I loved the place, it was really chill with lots of beautiful spots to recharge batteries, walks through the forests, picking berries, swimming in Baltic sea in the nearby,... I stayed in a caravan which was really cosy!:)The work was chill, the time i was there we were mostly harvesting potatoes and other vegetables, preparing vegetables for selling, taking care of the cows and the little chickens they have. Each day one or two of the volunteers made lunch for everybody and the fridge was always full for preparing own meals. I really liked the Pea soup tradition that they take seriously at Thursdays:)) Thank you Atte and Jan for this experience!:)

Bobby was very easy to have around. He was only with me for two working days but managed to knock a good amount of my To Do List and was very good with my technology problems. He was willing to do anything and good company. I would happily host him again and recommend him to any future host. Thanks, Bobby!
