I stayed with Deborah and her wonderful family for about a month in July–August 2023. They were so incredibly kind and easy to work with. The property is gorgeous, there's a bakery just down the street, and there's a nearby train station that makes it easy to take weekend day trips to nearby cities. The food is top-notch, and Deb and her family

We were very fortunate to welcome this lovely, hard-working and multi-talented couple for two weeks this last summer for their first workaway experience. We spent two weeks in September in brosville with this wonderful family.
We felt at home from the first day on and all of them made our first workaway stay pretty amazing and helped us with an easy start.
We learned a lot about permaculture and gardening while working in the huge vegetable garden and had a lot of good conversations (even while
… read more working sometimes ;)), always in good company of ponpon, a very lovely pony.
We got to cook and eat almost all the vegetables that came directly out of the gardens wich made the work even more rewarding. Here is the point to mention the amazing work Caroline and Deborah do in the kitchen. We got spoiled!
This whole household is loaded with good energy, lots of ideas on how to make the world a better place and even more laughter.
We really connected with the family and it was clear, that we would come back - this time for 5 weeks. We helped with a pastry class and spent most of the time in the kitchen.
It was a pleasure to work most of the time with Caroline in the kitchen. We cooked the most delicious things and learned a lot about veganism in the past weeks.
We don’t want to forget all the wonderful workaway people and students we met there who made our experience even better.
Now that we write this all the good memories come back and we have a big smile on our faces. These amazing people became like a family to us. They have accepted us with open arms.
Thank you so much!!!

We spent two weeks in Brosville in August for our first Workaway experience with this amazing family.
We had a chance to spend time with all of them, Caroline, Deborah, Olivier, Jc and Liam, and they turned out to be interesting, fun and welcoming people. We felt part of the family and we're very grateful for the time spent with them.
The family
… read more is also made up of adorable animals (horses, cats and a dog) which made our stay even more enjoyable.
We had a wonderful time helping them in the vegetable garden and in the kitchen and learning a lot about permaculture and vegan cousine (but not only that, they are people full of skills and stories to tell and there is a lot to learn!). Caroline and Deborah are truly amazing chefs, so living with them is like living in a vegan paradise!
Caroline has always been kind, attentive and available towards us, helping us in the work and explaining us very well what to do. The working hours of 5 hours a day were never exceeded and we had the possibility to adapt days and times according to our needs.
The location is stunning and picturesque , surrounded by beautiful nature and the family offers very comfortable rooms to the workawayers, providing everything they need for their stay. We even had the good fortune to stay in a little house all to ourselves on the property.
They speak French but all of them also speak excellent English being a French American family.
They are extraordinary people and we left them more as friends than hosts and workawayers.
We highly recommend this experience to everyone!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

This was my first Workaday experience and I am sure it will be hard to top. Here are the things that worked for me:
1. Location - the worksite is in the Iton River Valley in Normandie and so it is a beautiful, quaint, walkable, bicycle, bus area that can be enjoyed. The property has a lovely back pasture for the pony with a creek and ducks, a
… read more massive organic garden area that allows for fresh food daily, cute, comfortable beds and accommodations. On your days off getting a bus is easy, right outside the gate but be sure to check with hosts about bus schedules to Evreux or Rouen.
2. Work - this varies on season, weather and crop driven, along with active vegan classes or not. Be prepared to get your hands dirty in soil or clean in doing dishes. Take the time to enjoy the experience. The hosts have lots of projects and do their best to find one that suits you but also there is work that just must be done, rain or shine. They are very aware of making sure you do not put in more hours, and that you have time off and that you enjoy the place.
3. People - I totally loved my hosts and the knowledge around life, vegan cooking, and gardening that they shared. I look forward to the chance to help in one of their classes to get more formal vegan cooking training. My workaday mates were the best ever! I really seek an opportunity to again connect with them in the future. They brought joy, laughter, kindness, and hard work to every day of my time there.

I couldn't have wished for a nicer and more generous host in France! I am more than thankful that I stayed with them for two and a half month (January to March). From the first moment I felt totally welcomed by Deborah and her family :-)
Because Deborah gave classes in the months I stayed with her, my task was to help Caroline with cooking the

I also had fun playing with Liam and going for long walks in the area around their property (beautiful wooded hills). They also payed attention on my working hours so I didn't worked more than the recommended 25 hours per week and had the weekends off. All of them were also very eager to make it possible for me to visit Paris and Versailles by bringing and collecting me from the nearest train station. I can recommend Deborah and her family as hosts from my heart! Thank you for everything :-)Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

This was my first Workaway experience and it was honestly a perfect start. I originally planned on staying for 5 weeks but ended up staying for 3 months. Deborah made me feel welcome from the start and I became like part of the family. Deborah is such an inspiring person, she has the biggest heart and is just so caring, full of energy, incredibly

I helped with a lot of different things during my stay – I worked in the garden, around the house, helped with household tasks, cooking or with her two grandchildren.
Thank you so much for my wonderful time with you and of course for all the delicious vegan food! I was sad to leave but I am sure we’ll meet again at some point ;)Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

It was the perfect opportunity for me to come to the calm and peaceful rural Brosville. As my intention was to be on my own and be in the garden, Deborah felt this right away and gave me the space to do and feel so.
Talk to Deborah if you want something or want to talk about something...she'll be there for you!
Deborah will also make sure you do

Since she's original American, a person can easily talk english with her, but her French is also immaculate. I talked a lot of french with Olivier (her husband), he learned me some french expressions.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.
