We live in the quirky US town of Pittsburgh!
Description
Hello there! We are a gentle and joyful couple in our early 30s who met studying food & agriculture in Pittsburgh, US. We are both pretty active, have farmed for years, foster for an animal rescue and are interested in leading an intentional life through homesteading and cooperative living. Jess is a food photographer, berry forager, soccer player and dancer (most recently rueda de casino). Trevor teaches and produces products for his fermentation business, plays music (appropriately, in a band called the Fermented Beats), and does pottery. We love bartering and are excited to travel the world a bit more consciously, learn new agricultural techniques, and see the world, through Workaway!

Cool, let's talk about skills! We both have years of organic farming experience, foster cats/dogs, have tended farm animals (chickens, goats, cows), cook semi-professionally, practice yoga, and work in different areas of the food industry. More specifically:
Trevor has a business teaching fermentation & makes products from miso to natural sodas to preserved vegetables. He also has expertise in herbalism, permaculture, foraging plants, pottery, and is an excellent and skilled musician.
Jess does a lot of different things professionally, including education, research, photography/design and helping run small food businesses, conferences, or dreamy projects. She enjoys reusing materials, is adept at fruit foraging, and adores movement, from manual labor, to soccer, to dance.Âge
