Description
Hello everyone. Our requests on Workaway are changing and I try to keep them updated. At the moment, we urgently need a helper, a volunteer who can take care of our babies, especially someone who can play with them during the day. I will soon have knee surgery, and although until now my wife and I were managing on our own with our twin babies, after the operation I will need to rest seriously for about one month. Of course, I will still try to help, but I will be using crutches and won’t be able to be very active during this period.
For this reason, we are looking for one or two volunteers. The main responsibility is taking care of the children: spending time with them, playing, and looking after them until 3:00 PM. After 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM will be free time. At 8:00 PM, the babies go to sleep and usually sleep without problems until 6:00–7:00 AM. Occasionally, they may wake up once or twice during the night; in those cases, simply giving them a pacifier is enough and they go back to sleep. Around 4:30–5:00 AM, they have their milk and then continue sleeping until around 6:30–7:00 AM.
During the night, one baby will stay with the mother and the other will stay with the volunteer. Therefore, there will be a small responsibility such as giving the pacifier or, if needed, feeding the baby during short wake-ups, as I will not be able to move quickly due to my knees.
We are looking for a minimum one-month commitment. The main responsibility is childcare. There are no major expectations regarding housework; however, small contributions like preparing meals, setting the table, and cleaning up afterward are expected, just like a member of the family.
