I'm travelling through a few Balkans - Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia - on my way to Greece. Want to discover each country, it's food, it's people etc. best I can.

Description

Left my life in Brissie Australia back in December 2024 for 12 months abroad. Australia is an incredible country but it's pretty far from most places, so I'm making the most of a year of travel through Europe and beyond.

It's been a mix of backpacking, Workaways, staying on friend's couches, and a few holidays with mates along the way.

I'm trying my best to explore each new country and town I visit - it's food, it's people, it's history, I'm here for it all. Learning about a new country through its food is the best way to do it in my opinion.

I enjoy running and swimming and will sign up for the occasional endurance challenge (a few marathons and triathlons these past few years). I'm a fairly easy-going person, enjoy good conversation.

I've done two Workaways so far in Germany and France and they've been incredible. Only positive things to say about the hosts and experiences. I'm keen to do a few more before I go home.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My career experience back home is in communications, journalism, public relations and marketing.

I'm an amateur cook. I regularly host and cook for my friends and families. It's something I really enjoy doing and learning about. I typically cook Mediterranean, Indian or Italian cuisine.

After a few Workaways I've picked up some basic skills in gardening and landscaping, farmwork, caring for animals, painting, cleaning etc. I don't have specific trade skills but I'm a good worker who's up to support with any DIY, construction or general day-to-day house projects.
