Hi there!
I'm Chelsea - a 28-year-old Australian who's fallen in love with the Nordics.
I love learning and I'm curious about almost everything! If you require help with a task I'm unfamiliar with, just walk me through it and I'll pick it up before long.
Being in nature and getting my hands dirty is my idea of a good time. I find so much joy in the little things and I try to be intentional about noticing and appreciating the beauty we're surrounded by.
I enjoy hiking, visiting museums, looking for bugs, doing jigsaw puzzles, and researching whatever peculiar topic catches my attention that day.
When I moved to Sweden in February 2024, I knew it'd be an adventure. But I never would've guessed that a fellow volunteer at my very first WorkAway would become a wonderful partner. Lars and I now look forward to experiencing our Swedish adventures together.
WorkAway Experience:
I was a farmhand on a small permaculture farm in Skåne. My tasks included: feeding the cows and horses, mucking out the barns and courtyards, preparing garden beds, composting, installing fence posts, cooking, and cleaning.
I've also been a housekeeper for a family in Örebro. My tasks include: cleaning, yard work, house painting, occasional cooking, and playing with the children.

Hello there!
I'm Lars, a 24-year-old Belgian guy. I've been a fan of the great outdoors since I joined the Scouts at six years old. Going on hikes, lashing together big constructions, and having a great time around the campfire are still a few of my favourite activities.
I work best in small (close) groups, and my work ethic is great when everyone does their part. I'm a patient person, so I tend to get along great with practically everyone. When it comes to games, I get very competitive, and I love to use sarcasm.
Just after Christmas of 2023, I went to Sweden on my first WorkAway journey. I already knew I loved the nature and quiet you get in Sweden. What I didn't expect was to find a partner as well. Now I'm itching to go back to this beautiful country and spend more time together with my girlfriend.

I'm not a trained language teacher, but I'm happy to help others improve their confidence in, and understanding of, the English language. I'm learning Swedish and am currently at an upper-beginner level. I know a tiny bit of Norwegian and I'd also like to learn some Finnish.

Lars:
I studied computer science for four years, so I have an intermediate knowledge of computers and programming. I also worked for a landscaping company, so I have some experience in that field as well. I know my way around most power tools and am not afraid to work at heights. In my previous WorkAway, I tended to some big farm animals and did some handyman work around the house.
