Description

Hi! We are Lucie (29) and Jonas (30) from Germany. We have been a couple for 14 years and share a strong passion for hiking, love being in nature, and are big animal lovers. After finishing our university degrees in Germany, we packed our backpacks and travelled through Costa Rica, Panama, and different parts of Europe. Once back in Germany, we gained valuable work experience in our trained fields.

Right now, we have been in New Zealand for almost 10 months and are absolutely loving the nature and the people.

We are very open-minded and curious people who enjoy learning new things and are not afraid of hard work. We like working with our bodies and hands and appreciate practical, hands-on tasks. We are easy-going people to whom it is important that everyone feels seen, respected, and valued.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Lucie = I'm a qualified vocational educator in nursing and health. Over the past few years, I worked as a project manager for a large education project in Germany. During my studies, I taught sports classes for children, worked in a climbing park, and for an outpatient care service. I also have a strong horse background, having successfully competed in show jumping and dressage

Jonas = I studied forestry sciences and wood technology. After graduating, I worked as a forester and later as a consultant for the German Forestry Association. Alongside my studies, I helped out as a carpenter and therefore know the basics of carpentry. I also have experience working in a leisure park.

We both worked for over four months at a racing stable in New Zealand. Lucie worked as a trackwork rider and ground staff, and Jonas worked as ground staff and tractor driver.

We are both very easy-going and balanced people who like to try new things.
Also, we both grew up with animals and will miss our pets from home very much, which is why we would love to take care of your animals.

We don't see Workaway as a way to take a cheap vacation, we really want to learn new things and have new experiences.

  We mostly eat a vegetarian diet. Lucie hasn’t eaten meat for over 8 years, and Jonas eats meat only occasionally—not on a daily basis and usually only when he knows where it comes from. Other than that, we’re not picky eaters at all and are totally fine w
