  • Description

    Hello, I’m Jose,

I work as a Technical Architect in Madrid, Spain, and I’ve decided to take a sabbatical year to embrace this unique opportunity to travel, immerse myself in new cultures, and improve my English skills. I’m truly excited about contributing my time and abilities to meaningful projects that inspire me.

I’m passionate about the outdoors, particularly hiking and cycling. Nature is one of my greatest interests, and I love exploring new landscapes and finding peace in the beauty of natural surroundings. I also greatly enjoy spending time with animals and taking care of them. Their company is something I deeply value, and I’m always happy to lend a hand when it comes to their well-being.

Ideally, I would like to participate in projects that focus on social or sustainable construction, as I believe they are a fantastic way to learn, grow, and contribute to the well-being of local communities. I’d be delighted to share my expertise and experience as a Technical Architect, but I’m also eager to learn new techniques and ways of working that have a positive impact on the environment and society.

I’m looking forward to joining projects that help me grow both personally and professionally while collaborating with people from all over the world. The projects don’t necessarily need to be entirely related to construction—I’m open to exploring and learning from different areas and experiences.

Plus de détails sur les langues qui m'intéressent
I would like to improve my English. A few years ago I had a B2 level, but with the lack of practice I have lost a lot. I understand it very well, but it's a bit difficult for me to speak it.

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

    - Construction: although more from books than bricks. I have quite a lot of knowledge about construction thanks to my 8 years in the sector, but in reality my experience has been more in the theoretical part and projects than in the construction itself. Despite that, I'm a quick learner, so I'm not afraid to get down to work (and I'll do it with a lot of enthusiasm).

    - Craftsmanship and DIY: While I’m not a professional carpenter, I’ve always enjoyed making furniture and working on DIY projects. I’ve built sofas, tables, and other pieces using recycled materials like pallets from construction sites. I love giving new life to old materials and creating functional, unique items with my own hands.

    - Teamwork: I love working in a team and supporting others to achieve shared goals. As the captain of my soccer team, I make sure everyone feels comfortable and included, creating a positive and fun atmosphere. People often say I’m easy to get along with, and I always do my best to keep things running smoothly.

    - Animal lover: I have always been a great lover of animals, and especially dogs. They have been part of my family all my life, so not only do I enjoy their company, but I also know how to take care of them and understand their needs.

    - Rural and urban life: Although I lead a more urban life, I have a good contact with the rural world thanks to my roots. My parents are from small towns in Spain, so I grew up surrounded by gardes and livestock. This has given me a good perspective of life in the countryside and I feel comfortable both in the city and in rural environments.

Creativity: I’m passionate about cinema and love capturing moments during my travels to later edit them into personal "films"—I guess I have a bit of a director complex! Music is another creative outlet for me; I enjoy singing and playing guitar, though I usually need either a lot of confidence or a couple of glasses of wine to really get into it.
