Hello ! My name is Colette and I am 27 years old. I am based in London but am currently enjoying 10 months away from the city and my busy job as a NHS midwife. I am currently in India , travelling from the south to the north but will also spend some time cycling and camping through Europe.

I am passionate about my job as a midwife but also have a real love for painting and sewing and spend a lot of my time doing these activities, making my own clothes and filling my walls with art. When I am not creating, I enjoy staying active by cycling, hiking and dancing. I also enjoy gardening, having had my own allotment for many years, and being in nature having grown up in the country side and being surrounded by animals. We had horses as children and, although I haven't ridden regularly since my early 20's, I am eager to spend more time around animals in particular horses. I have experience riding but also worked for many years caring for other people's horses and maintaining the farm. I am passionate about sustainability and the environment and would love to learn more about this.
I am hardy and dedicated and really enjoy a challenge no matter the environment or weather and enjoy getting down and dirty.
I am also caring and compassionate and my job as a midwife has allowed me become confident caring and advocating for others. I have also had experience nannying and caring for the elderly.

Overall I am happy to help in all kinds of tasks/work and have knowledge of animal care, general gardening and creativity/painting etc. However, I would also love the chance to get involved with some minor construction, carpentry or renovation and learn more skills in these areas- I have previous performed renovation support with a previous work away but would like to do more.

I would love to meet like minded people, join kind and creative communities and partake in tasks that leave me tired but happy and content. Fingers crossed I can find what I am looking for and offer my help to people that need it!

I would love to explore India at some point this year and would love to begin my travels immersing myself into the real culture of India.
I was originally planning on solo travelling but have now decided that I would feel much happier and would also enjoy immensely, having someone to travel with! So if you're interested, send me a message :)
