We are very grateful to have met Paul, Caroline, Kate and all the others on idyllic Karragara Island. We stayed with them for 3 weeks and enjoyed every day there. We helped with cooking,cleaning and gardening at their property and in the Community Garden. Before and after work we had a lot of free time to explore all the islands, Brisbane,
… read more socialise with everybody, go Kayacing in the mangroves and just relax from a few previous busy months. There are activities for everybody on and around Karragara Island!
On one weekend, we undertook a two day trip with Caroline to Mount Tamborine and saw the amazing nature of Queensland.
They both are easy-going, hospitable and just a generally nice couple.
We are very glad to have met them and are very thankful for being able to stay with them.

Things to do on Karra included: gardening with bay views, sharing everyday household chores, lots of biking and walks, hopping to other islands to the market or to pick fresh avocados, sunset watching, playing board games, kayaking around the island, sharing dinners and more… We are beyond than grateful for this opportunity! :)

Milly was a quiet and respectful guest who we enjoyed having in our home. She is mature beyond her years and a very willing worker.

I felt very lucky to have my first Christmas away from home to be with Paul and Caroline and their whole family. I loved all their Christmas traditions and it made me miss english xmas less. We visited some other islands whilst I was there which was great to see and was always invited along to spend time with their friends too which was great fun.

Yasmine and Liv were a lovely couple to share our place with. They used their initiative and enjoyed Island life. We appreciated their help and highly recommend to other hosts. X

Javiera was a confident, knowledgeable and respectful guest in our home. She taught us a lot and was open to learning. Javi enjoyed being part of our community and was a very capable worker. Her spoken English was excellent and she helped us with learning Spanish. Highly recommend Javi to you.
