… read more fun playing with her. Cyril’s home is a peaceful place surrounded by nature and has a great view that we never grew tired of admiring. It’s also just a few minutes walk from the beautiful village Lacoste.
When it came to work, Cyril told us about all the different projects he had in mind around the garden and then let us decide freely what exactly we’d like to work on. So we ended up working on a variety of little tasks, like removing a fence or sorting out old wood and cutting it into pieces. We also helped care for the chicken, a task we found to be particularly enjoyable and that gave us a new level of appreciation for those adorable little creatures. In our free time, we got the chance to visit some of the nice villages in the area, but we also spent a lot of time just relaxing in the garden and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. This is truly the perfect place to do so!

Cyril is such a chill and genial person! I stayed with him for 1 week and we worked mainly on the compost compound along with some daily chores. … read more Bonnieux and the valley with the magical Provençal backgroundand and is located just on the foothills of Marquis de Sade's infamous castle. He even made it possible for me to burrow a book on Sade from the Scad library! The communication was great and I believe we made a great team. He has a really passionate attitude towards life and he values the other person's freedom dearly. Though I had to cut my visit a bit short than planned, he understood the situation and even gave me a ride at 6.00 in the morning! Such a nice guy with a really smooth energy. … read more all throughout my stay, we joked and laughed a lot. He speaks perfect Spanish, French and English so if you speak one of those, or more than one, you will feel more than comfortable. He lives with a lovely dog who's full of love and energy. The food was AMAZING! Fresh fruit, cheeses, bread, and wine, all of the delicacies you would expect from the French countryside. On top of that, Cyril is a really good cook! I also had independency to cook my own meals if I wanted, as I had free access to the kitchen. I slept in an independent wooden cabin with a double bed that was very comfortable and had some lamps that Cyril made himself.
During my stay we dismounted an old wooden pool and built a composter with the same wood. We also took care of an old shed that needed to be dismounted, we moved around some stones for future wall building work and I helped paint a part of the house that needed a new coat. To all of that, add the trips to the towns nearby where Cyril went to run errands and where he took me along, and you have an amazing WorkAway experience.

(FR) Les deux semaines que j'ai passées avec Cyril ont été incroyables ! En ce moment, il venait d'emménager dans une maison avec un grand terrain et une vue dégagée imprenable sur une vallée et la ville de Bonnieux. La communication a toujours été agréable, depuis le premier SMS jusqu'à l'organisation de mon arrivée (nous nous sommes rencontrés à Avignon et nous avons voyagé ensemble jusqu'à chez lui) et tout au long de mon séjour, nous avons beaucoup plaisanté et ri. Il parle parfaitement l'espagnol, le français et l'anglais, donc si vous en parlez un ou plusieurs, vous vous sentirez plus qu'à l'aise. Il vit avec une adorable chienne pleine d'amour et d'énergie. La nourriture était incroyable ! Fruits frais, fromages, pain et vin, toutes les délices que l'on attend de la campagne française. En plus, Cyril est un très bon cuisinier ! J'avais également l'indépendance de cuisiner mes propres repas si je le souhaitais, car j'avais libre accès à la cuisine. J'ai dormi dans une cabane indépendante en bois avec un lit double très confortable et des lampes fabriquées par Cyril lui-même.
Durant mon séjour nous avons démonté une vieille piscine en bois et construit un composteur avec le même bois. Nous nous sommes également occupés d'un vieux hangar qui devait être démonté, nous avons déplacé quelques pierres pour de futurs travaux de construction de murs et j'ai aidé à peindre une partie de la maison qui avait besoin d'une nouvelle couche. À tout cela, ajoutez les voyages dans les villes voisines où Cyril est allé faire ses courses et où il m'a emmené, et vous avez une expérience WorkAway incroyable.

… read more amis. Il est intéressant, intéressé et cultivé, pratique un français et un anglais sidérants. La porte est grande ouverte s'il souhaitait revenir. Dans mon projet de terrain en permaculture il a participé à toutes les étapes de préparation, nettoyage de. le propriété, élagage, broyage, a déplacé des pierres et m'a secondé dans l'a réalisation d'un bac à compost à 3 compartiments en bois recyclé d'une piscine hors sol endommagée que nous avons préalablement démontée et dont nous avons récuperé les matériaux. Je le recommande chaudement!
Sebastian's 2 week stay is extremely well exceeded. He is a curious, friendly and willing young man who participated in all activities with enthusiasm, patience and good humor. He also spontaneously contributed to household chores. Daily life was super pleasant and he got along very well with my friends. He is interesting, interested and cultured, speaks astonishing French and English. The door is wide open if he wanted to come back. In my permaculture field project he participated in all stages of preparation, cleaning. the property, pruning, grinding, moved stones and assisted me in the creation of a compost bin with 3 compartments in recycled wood from a damaged above-ground swimming pool which we previously dismantled and which we recovered the materials.
