Luca is a hard worker and a very nice person.

We were very lucky to host Kalle for two weeks. And if you have a garden, you are lucky to host him, too. Kalle is young, very friendly and social, he speaks a beautiful french. Life is easy with him and you can be absolutely confident about his work. He has a great experience in gardening. you can even confy him tasks , that he has never done before, he will ask what exactly is to be done and work it quietly out. We had a very good time with him.

Hey dear workawayer's! If you're looking for the nicest family in Skanderborg you've found it! Leyilah is a very kind and caring person ♥️ She will always ask you if you're fine, if there is too much work and if you need a break 🥰 It's really a relaxing place where you can be yourself. Mental health is very important here! The work was never too hard, and you have usually a lot of tasks to choose from. It was mostly things in the house, like cleaning, filling the dishwasher or tidying up (and searching for specific things). Skanderborg is a beautiful city with a lot of second hand shops. Aarhus (30 min by car from Skanderborg) is also very nice. Leyilah once took me and another workawayer with her to Aarhus, and we visited the harbour and the big shopping centre with the huge roof terrace (Salling ROOFTOP). The house where Leyilah, Momo and Michael (Leyilah's boyfriend) live is quite big with a little garden, and from their terrace you have a wonderful view of the lake!! The house is full with a lot of 'creative' things (beads, string, fabric, napkins, ...) and also other things (I've found interesting things in the room in the basement 😅). Sometimes we needed something and then it was a task to look for it, so it's good if you like a little bit of chaos 😁 Momo, Michael and Martin (Momo's dad) are all so lovely, I love it how well Michael and Martin are working together!!! 🙏 Momo likes to dress chic, to play theatre (probably she will be a famous actress one day 😁) and to do something with her friends. The birthday party with her classmates was really funny! Momo lent me a beautiful dress from "Beauty and the Beast" 😍🥳 And we had sooo much pizza 🍕 I stayed in the annex in the garden, it was comfortable and with the heater it was also warm! But there is also a room in the house and a second room in the basement where you can stay! I really recommend this host to everyone! Thank you so much for almost five wonderful weeks ♥️ I wish you all the very best for the future 😘

I had a truly great experience during the two weeks I spent at the foundation. Martin, the rest of the staff, and the other volunteers were incredibly welcoming from the moment I arrived. It genuinely felt like being part of a family, and I’m very grateful for the time I spent there.

We had a really great time with this family in Marseille! They are very kind, open, and easy to be around, and they made us feel truly welcome in their home. We spent many evenings playing card games together and laughing nonstop. Being with them was so much fun, from the start, it felt like we were part of the family. Solen is a very smart and mature girl, and it was really nice to watch her climbing competition, we were happy we could be there for that moment! Fanny and Ben are both very kind and caring, and we really enjoyed spending time and talking with them. The dog and the cat are also super cute and made the stay even better. We had a lot of free time, which gave us the chance to explore Marseille and really fall in love with the city. We enjoyed our time so much and truly hope we can come back one day! We will miss you all!

Elizabeth estuvo a mi casa por 2 meses cuando me fui de viaje. Su labor fue de cuidado de mi perrita Suki y mi gatita Domi, y limpieza/mantención de la casa. Fue un 10/10 , realmente fue la persona ideal para este trabajo. Amante de los animales, obviamente vegan, simpática y responsable. Suki y Domi se enamoraron de ella, dormian juntas, llevaba a Suki al cerro, al centro, al parque, a donde fuera, Elizabeth iba con Suki. Me mandaba todos los dias fotos de sus aventuras y buenos momentos. Elizabeth vino a Chile con el objetivo de aprender español, asi que tomo un curso un par de días a la semana y avanzo mucho! Conoció a gente que estaba haciendo lo mismo, si que rapidamente hizo amistades y pudo conocer la ciudad en su tiempo libre. Gracias Elizabeth por tu entrega y cariño a mis bebes y a la casita. Vuelve cuando quieras! Que tengas un buen viaje y muchas aventuras! PD: La Suki y domi te extrañaran.

Yo estuve 3 meses en la casa de Dan y lo pasé hermoso :) Dan es una persona muy abierta y sociable. Me recibió muy bien en la casa y pude compartir mucho con ella. Conecté muy bien con los animales de la casa, Suki (perra) y Domi (gata). Son muy cariñosos. Lo que me gustó mucho es que es de la comunidad y sabe de buenos lugares de la ciudad y afuera y también de eventos. Siempre te apoya cuando necesitas algo y te vas a sentir muy rapido como en casa. La casa en total es muy hermoso, es una casa antigua de campo con patio, terraza y un taller de Risografía y encuadernación. La habitación en cual estuve es arriba de la casa con un baño propio. Asi tienes tu lugar arriba de la casa con acceso a la terraza del techo. La pieza es muy grande con 3 ventanas grandes, un escritorio y muebles antiguos. En la terraza de arriba hay mucho sol y una vista increíble a la cordillera de los andes (que nunca voy a olvidar). Hay reposeras y una mesita para disfrutar bien el amanecer o atardecer :). Abajo hay un patio con hamaca, mesa grande y la cocina. Hay mucho espacio para cocinar y usar el horno para hacer rollos de canela, por ejemplo. Hay lavadora y secadora que puedes usar también. La casa esta llena de plantas como alocasias, monsteras, viñeras y plantas comestibles. El trabajo depende de lo que se necesita en el lugar del momento, pero en general son trabajos de mantenimiento de la casa y ayudas especificas de cosas del momento. Ayudé con trabajos de la casa, como jardinería y construcción, saqué Suki a pasear y pude pasar tiempo en el taller de encuadernación y Risografía. Ahí saqué fotos y videos para las redes sociales del editorial de Dan. Siempre hay gente muy amable trabajando con Dan y puedes conectar y aprender de gente muy sabia de Diseño Gráfico y Ediciones de Libros. Trabajé 4 horas, 5 días a la semana y pude disfrutar mucho tiempo libre en Santiago, que es una ciudad lleno de cultura y buena comida chilena. Vas a vivir en Matta, un barrio patrimonial residencial muy hermoso, con pequeñas plazas y jardines, a 15min de los estaciones de metro. Asi estas bien comunicado y puedes pasar los martes, miércoles y sábados a las ferias llenos de frutas y verduras frescas. Además el persa icónico de Santiago, el Biobio, donde encuentras antigüedades, ropa vintage, comida vegana y todo lo que necesitas, esta a solo 15min también. Recomiendo mucho a venir a la casa de Dan :) <3

I had amazing 1,5 weeks at Guglielmo’s Place. The house and garden are so beautiful, and I’m really grateful for the experience! Guglielmo’s instructions were clear and he’s very responsive, while he also cared for our well-being. Sadly we weren’t able to meet in person! Would love to come back, and I highly recommend staying With Guglielmo! Thanks again!

Marie y Etienne fueron excelentes voluntarios. Ambos tienen cualidades específicas que fueron muy utiles en nuestro proyecto. Eltienne me ayudó a mejorar mi fogón de piedra, y renovó otros dos, además de otros proyectos muy buenos! Marie hizo un plano del campo, sus construcciones, lineas de agua y electricidad, plantaciones. Son personas muy tranquilas y respetuosas, se adaptaron bien al lugar que estaba bastante incómodo sin problema. Muy recomendables!

Anna estuvo 3 meses en mi casa/taller, ayudando al cuidado de mi perrita Suki y mi gatita Domi, en las tareas cotidianas de la casa/ jardin y ayudando en el taller que tengo de encuadernación e impresión en Risografia. Lo pasamos increiblemente bien, tuvimos un match perfecto, muy buena onda, amigable, sociable, divertida, fue extremadamente cariñosa y responsable con Suki y Domi, sabia mucho de plantas por lo que pasamos grandes jornadas de jardineria, plantando, podando, y construyendo estructuras para las plantas en el patio. Nos ayudo cuando estabamos llenas de trabajo en el taller, a encuadernar, compaginar libros, etc. Pero lo mas genial es que como es Artista Visual y tiene muchos conocimientos en artes multimediales nos hizo videos de los procesos del taller! Increible, nada que decir, mil veces recomendada. Muchas gracias Anna por tantos buenos momentos! Ven cuando quieras, esta es tu casa. <3

I'm very happy about Viktoriia's help. I unfortunately couldn't be there while she srayed to help, but despite the distance communication was seamless. She has been a great help all through, followed up on all my requests in a timely manner and was always punctual and precise. Very recommended :)

We couldn't have wished for a better host than Ivonne and Oscar! From our first day on, we felt incredibly welcomed and comfortable. Before our stay with them, we had a video call with Oscar in which he stated his vision of the Workaway exchange, so we immediately knew what to expect. Jördis and I were really happy with the great communication. The apartment in which we stayed was by far our most luxurious workaway home. It had everything you could wish for (our favourite was the rain shower) and Ivonne and Oscar did everything to guarantee we had a nice stay there. The work was easy and chill, so we had lots of time to discover the amazing area around their home. Although Ivonne and Oscar have two wonderful young kids, they always had time for our worries. Jördis and I would love to come back someday and we would strongly recommend this host to all Workawayers out there!!

Mikky and Hermis are a great couple to host, they are easy going, always have a smile on their face, always ready and happy to help you with anything that needs to be done, they like work well done, they play music and sing and are much fun to have around! We would definitely have them back anytime! Alex

Danny and Fleur stayed in our place for 10 days. They are easy going, funny and relaxed but at the same time motivated to help where needed. They helped us with things like content creation, gardening and they joined us in our weekly badminton sessions. So much fun! We can recommend them to anyone looking for helping hands in any field they advertise on their profile. They have the adequate skills and devices to create content for your project or dig a hole in the garden haha! We wish them the best on their further travels and hope to meet them again one day. Annette and Greg are a lovely family from New Zealand. They were very enthusiastic about sharing new knowledge and experiences with Holly and Daniel, and they showed genuine care and interest in education in Indonesia. I really appreciated the many meaningful discussions we had about politics, government policies, and social issues. They are open-minded, thoughtful, and deeply engaged in understanding different perspectives. Holly and Daniel love exploring nature and brought so much joy wherever they went. They are sweet, curious, and full of positive energy. All of my students adored them — the kids were always excited to play, learn, and spend time with them. Having this family around created a warm, joyful, and inspiring atmosphere. They connected easily with both children and adults and were a pleasure to host. I highly recommend Annette and Greg, along with Holly and Daniel, to any future host. They are kind, respectful, and truly enriching people to share a Workaway experience with.

Our stay with Anne & Harald was exceptional from the start. Their communication was excellent, and we felt very welcome to make ourselves at home in their private suite, which they had thoughtfully prepared for us and our baby to stay. Anne's hand written notes and treats for us were appreciated, and they really put alot of thought into making our stay memorable and enjoyable. The work to be done was straightforward, and the hours were flexible. It was easy to work according to our own schedule, putting in more hours some days and resting on others, and there was no pressure to work outdoors when the weather wasn't nice. We enjoyed learning about their family, and especially enjoyed learning about local history. Harald took us on a tour and had many interesting stories to share. We gained an appreciation for Dutch culture, history, and people, and gained new perspectives and growth from the exchange. We enjoyed contributing to a family meal together, and had fun sharing local recipes from our home country. A bicycle was provided during our stay, and everything we needed was accessible by walking as well. Between our travels to the big cities, we preffered staying in the small town and cherished our experience in Arkel. It was really nice to have a private space to stay, to cook our own meals, and to feel like we were on vacation (between reasonable work for our stay). The family pets including turtles, chickens, and their dog Yuta, were also appreciated. This is the perfect workaway for a couple. Our baby enjoyed it too. We will cherish our time in Arkel for years to come.

I spent about 10 days at Gaga's house. I'm truly grateful that she accepted my short-notice request. When I arrived, the first snow of the year had piled up, and the view from there was incredibly beautiful. Since it was already winter, the farm work had already been completed, so I helped with the remaining vegetables and clearing away the seedlings. It was cold, but the air was clear, and working alone was calming and enjoyable. I also spent time with the Serbian family celebrating Slavia, their most important festival of the year. It was a very interesting and enjoyable time. I helped with cooking and preparing for the festival, and I feel like I've gained a little insight into their culture. I'd like to try cooking Serbian food when I return to Japan. Since it was a cold season, the family was very considerate, asking me repeatedly if I was cold and providing me with clothes and shoes. The room was heated, so I was able to stay very comfortable. I'd like to return during a more productive work schedule and see the greenery of the season!! Thank you so much to the family🥰

Lisa and Uwe were amazing volunteers and such a joy to host. From the very beginning, they were enthusiastic, open-minded, and genuinely excited to learn and be involved. They adapted quickly to different school environments and connected really well with both students and teachers. They were confident, friendly, and brought great energy into every class. Their presence made the learning atmosphere fun, relaxed, and engaging. At home, Lisa and Uwe were easygoing, respectful, and felt like part of the family. They were always appreciative, communicative, and happy to join daily activities and cultural experiences. They’re independent, positive, and bring a calm, friendly vibe wherever they go. Manon and Baptiste were awesome volunteers! This was their first time teaching kids, and they did an amazing job. They were enthusiastic, patient, and really put their heart into every class. They adapted super quickly, were easygoing, respectful, and got along really well with both the kids and our family. The children felt comfortable with them and were always excited when it was time to learn together. Their way of teaching was fun and relaxed, which made the kids enjoy the process even more. Outside teaching hours, Manon and Baptiste were always up for new experiences. They were genuinely curious about local culture, happy to join family activities, explore nature, visit villages, play sports, and just hang out together. They’re also very independent, communicative, and respectful of house rules. Having them around brought a really positive and chill vibe to the house. We would 100% recommend Manon and Baptiste to any future host. They’re not just great volunteers, but also kind, fun, and lovely people to share moments with.
