I volunteered at this hotel for 6 weeks and had an amazing time! The work was clearly explained, easy to manage, and shift swaps were always possible, which made everything very flexible. Amy and Ken are wonderful hosts — always reachable, friendly and supportive. It was also great that there were always several volunteers around, which created a fun and social atmosphere. The hotel is located in a very peaceful and quiet spot directly on the beach, and Dominical is a charming, beautiful town with an amazing vibe. My absolute highlight was going to the beach every day with the dogs and the other volunteers 🐶🌊 I highly recommend this place - hopefully I can come back soon 🌞

Ponctuelle et efficace, Manon est de bonne composition et toujours agréable. Elle a réalisé toutes les tâches demandées, même les plus fatigantes, sous le regard attentif des oies gardiennes 😉 Très autonome et curieuse, elle a su profiter de son séjour pour découvrir l'île et la Guadeloupe.

Accueillir Josée a été un grand plaisir pour nous comme pour les animaux et les plantes, dont elle a pris grand soin ! La travail en extérieur ne lui fait pas peur: elle a accompli avec rigueur toutes les tâches, même les plus fatigantes. Elle en a même fait plus que ce que nous attendions! C'est quelqu'un sur qui on peut compter: nous avons apprécié de pouvoir partir quelques jours en lui confiant toute la maisonnée. Toujours souriante, elle a ajouté une note sympathique à nos pique-niques et parties de pétanque. Son séjour s'est tellement bien passé, que nous avons été ravis de l'accueillir une seconde fois! Welcoming Josée was a great pleasure for us, as well as for the animals and plants, which she cared for so well! She wasn't afraid of working outdoors: she diligently completed all the tasks, even the most tiring ones. She even did more than we expected! She's someone we can rely on: we appreciated being able to go away for a few days and entrusting her with the entire household. Always smiling, she added a cheerful touch to our picnics and games of pétanque. Her stay went so well that we were delighted to welcome her back!

I had a truly wonderful one-month stay here, from mid-November to mid-December. Nicoletta and Carlo were absolutely amazing hosts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The work, which involved approximately 3–5 hours per day (depending on the weather, piano piano), was relaxing and a great way to stay connected to nature. Working alongside Paolo was a particularly great experience. The place is beautiful, clean, and the animals are lovely and social. I had a very pleasant and memorable time. I highly recommend this experience to future Workawayers!

I stayed with Monica family for few weeks and it was perfect! One of my best places i visited in Korea. Her daughters are adorable, very polite and welcoming. Thanks for yr hospitality Monica. I hope we can meet again in the future.

Maz and I really enjoyed hosting such two lovely helpful people. They were both kind, reliable, enthusiastic and we would highly recommend them to any host.

Shanti really helped out with our forest based art trail and making a cob bench with our summer camp. She also helped put on a show. It's a non -profit camp. She had a lot of fun and worked great with everyone.

It was a calm experience spending time with Bronwyn and the dogs in the Adelaide hills. We loved cuddling the puppies and walking the adult dogs, they were the sweetest. Bronwyn was always generous when it came to food and was happy to share knowledge about cooking as well as her passion dogs/ breeding. Thank you for this time!

This was my first Workaway and honestly one of the best experiences of my life. I spent two weeks with this lovely family in Gwangju in September and I really wish I had stayed longer, I felt at home from day one! The work was super enjoyable: spending my afternoons with the kids Three, Mint, and Hi, playing and chatting in English, they are some of the sweetest, most lovable kids I’ve ever met and made every day fun and special. In the mornings I had time to work on my own projects, explore the city, enjoy amazing Korean food, and spend time in nature. The house is big, beautiful, very comfortable and very close to some urban hiking spots and to a lovely street full of beautiful cafes, my room was spacious and cozy. And Lucy is an incredible cook, I had some of the best homemade Korean dinners of my entire trip! I can’t recommend this family enough if you want to experience Korean culture in a truly authentic way while being part of a warm, kind, and welcoming family! I hope I will come back very soon! 💛

This was my first WorkAway experience and I absolutely loved it! I stayed for three weeks. Christine and Anto are amazing and have so much passion for what they’re doing. They took the time to answer all of my questions and I learned A LOT of new things. Just a few things that we did: We prepared beds, transplanted a lot of plants, put stakes and strings for the beans to grow on, made salves, deodorant and shampoo, emptied the human compost bin and moved the chicken run. We also helped Christine prepare for a plant festival, putting plants and seeds in bags for sale. Their project is up and running for quite some years now, so you can immediately tell that Christine and Anto have so much knowledge to share. AND they’re really fun to hang out with as well. We had a lot of fun, inspiring conversations during lunch time. I can really recommend this place! (If you’ve not already been convinced by all of the other 5 star reviews) With WOM I had 3G reception but it was working quite well and possible to make video calls.

Je suis très heureuse d’avoir pu réaliser mon premier workaway en compagnie de Marion, Philipp et Sol à Maison Merveille. J’ai passé de super moments à leurs côtés, toujours très bienveillants et doux. J’ai aimé passer du temps avec Marion dans l’atelier, pour lui filer un coup de main et papoter autour d’un thé (ou d’un matcha). L’énergie de Sol et les bons plats de Philipp ont aussi été des moments tout aussi précieux. Je ne peux que recommander cette expérience. Il me tarde de les revoir lorsque je serai de passage dans les Landes !

I had a wonderful time with Lea and Ferdi. Before I came they were super communicative and everything was clear. The work was straightforward and enjoyable, and is structured so you have the whole afternoon free. The project is in a lovely setting and gets beautiful sunsets and great stars at night. Each morning Ferdi made a great muesli and we had nice discussions at breakfast. The mini house you stay in is really nice and there’s a pool and lovely shaded area of garden to put a hammock in your free time. There are lots of friendly lizards and birds who will visit the property. I really enjoyed my time here and wish them all the best for finishing the project!

Pierre fue un voluntario excepcional. Amable, dispuesto, responsable y siempre con una actitud positiva. Valoró todo lo que recibió, tanto en lo material como en lo humano, y se integró fácilmente en la convivencia. Su trabajo fue excelente, siempre atento a colaborar y aportar ideas. Las conversaciones con él fueron agradables y enriquecedoras. 100% recomendable: fue un verdadero aporte en todos los aspectos y será siempre bienvenido aquí.

It was a pleasure to have Francesco with us. He helped al lot in the garden and even we all were very busy he helped himself to organize. He loves to get clear instructions und is adaptive to different situations. He is kommunikative, open minded and always very friendly. I wished we could have more time together to join football and Werder Bremen. We wish him for the future the very best!

Maja & Olek have offered my family a wonderful experience of living and working together. Punctual, hard-working, always willing to help - but most importantly they are good-hearted people who enjoy simple things and are genuinely interested in helping others. Maja & Olek, I know you probably still feel that you have olives all over around and into your clothes - hopefully your first Workaway experience has taught you to love this fruit and the unique 'liquid gold' coming from it, extra virgin olive oil :-) Take care of your amazing selves!

Hannah supported us for three weeks and completed a variety of tasks such as wildfire prevention work, cleaning, bed preparation, garden maintenance, and winter preparation. She worked reliably and with attention to detail. She is a quiet person with a very pleasant presence and brings a calm, positive atmosphere. Conversations with her were always interesting. A great help and a lovely person to work with.

Paula stayed here at Ohana Bay for about 2 weeks. She was a pleasure to have here. Was punctual and completed work to high standards. I really recommend Paula if you are wanting a woofer . She is welcome back anytime

Alexandra was an absolute pleasure to host. She is kind, gentle, and very respectful, and from the very beginning she fit naturally into daily life at home. She took wonderful care of Shelby, always attentive, calm, and loving. It was clear how much she genuinely enjoyed spending time with her, and Shelby quickly grew very comfortable and happy around her. I always felt completely at ease knowing Shelby was in such good hands. Beyond her help, Alexandra brought a very positive and warm energy, and it was lovely sharing conversations, walks, and quiet moments together. I truly appreciated her presence and would happily host her again anytime. I can wholeheartedly recommend Alexandra to any future host — she would be a great addition to any Workaway experience.

Humy and Fran stayed with us for three weeks. They are a very calm and polite couple. They were always on time and performed the tasks willingly with a positive attitude. They did a bit of light pruning of olive trees, gardening, clearing the land, burning cuttings, etc. They also walked our lovely Tommy dog and gave him his medicines. It was nice to have the opportunity to chat over a dinner together where we exchanged some stories, experiences and heard about their future plans. We also spent an afternoon with themselves and some friends, sampling the delicous pizzas and focaccias that Fran made in our wood fire oven. We woul be very happy for them to come back! .
