I stayed at Tony's place for around 6 weeks and I had a great time with Crosby, Tom and Rose. The work is easy - you walk Crosby for one hour twice a day, clean the cats litter, and clean the apartment when needed. I had another volunteer with me so the work was even less. The cats are the friendliest I've met, I miss them already, and Crosby and I didn't get along at the start but he's a good boy really. I would definitely recommend staying here if you like alone time, since Tony is working from early until late. There is a bus stop and train station not far from the apartment so it's easy to access Kumamoto centre as well as the Aso area. I recommend walking down the Kase river from Suizenji park to the lake, it is a very beautiful area that I returned to many times. Thank you Tony for letting me stay I had a great time! 😊

What can I say? I could talk about Natalie for hours! She is absolutely wonderful. Magic, amazing, perfect. As soon as she was in our home she was like family. My girls were comfortable with her straight away, even my 2 year old was delighted to stay with her after just a few hours. I had never left her alone with anyone and Natalie reassured me and I felt I could trust her very quickly, and the feeling of trust proved right all the way. My strange cautious dog who doesn’t like stranger absolutely adored her very quickly as well. She is very active, respectful, and caring. She cooks, enjoys sharing stories, is an amazing artist and teacher and is always enthusiastic . She brought joy and love! When I was away , I knew my daughters were in good hands, I would come back to them laughing and making beautiful art. She helped me in many ways , (more than expected! ) We miss her and keep in contact! I highly recommend Natalie. Beautiful and precious soul.

Florence is a cheeful and helpful person who helped in the gatden and enjoyed walking with my dogs. The farm was a big change in environment for someone from Hong Kong but she managed very well and enjoyed her first ride on a horse!

Fiona joined our family for a week and left lasting impact. The kids instantly took to her and she spent a lot of time with them on the trampoline, puzzling and other activities. She is very perceptive about what needs to be done and uses initiative while also checking things are ok. While she was here she helped to keep the house tidy, entertain the kids and paint a fence. We really enjoyed having her to stay.

We stayed one month in this wonderful place. The work mainly takes place in the morning and is organized according to what you know how to do. If you are an artist, you can create your own art by talking with the hosts, who are always open to new ideas and proposals just share them together. I worked on painting buoys, while Luca built various structures and objects. On Fridays there is the duck night, a truly special moment of sharing and socializing all together. Taisia and Chain have created a unique place for meeting, cultural exchange, and conviviality for people from all over the world. We had an amazing time. At first we planned to stay only 10 days, but in the end we stayed for a whole month. I truly recommend this experience to everyone. Thank you so much ♥️

Anthony is a wonderful person and a great help for our camel safaris and hostel! He worked with us during safaris, helping guests and making sure everyone had a good experience. At the hostel, he helped manage dishes and general cleaning, always keeping everything organized and tidy. During New Year, he was amazing, helping all day, evening, and night with 40 tourists. He is always smiling, friendly, and happy, and he is ready to help whenever needed. Anthony is easy to work with, positive, and brings good energy to the team. We really appreciate his hard work and dedication. We are looking forward to welcoming him back next season!

We stayed with Mamata and her family for 5 days. During these 5 days we had the chance to exchange culture, play card s and share delicious food (Preshkila, there daughter is suuuch a good cook). Mamata is a really warm person and makes us feel at home very fast. We arrived at a moment where there were not much task to do in the farm. We unweed a little part, picked up some trash and cleaned around. We also took Rocky for his daily walk. Mamata helped us to organize a walk-safari in the community forest which was amazing. She helped us with all the transports. The accommodation was minimalist but fine depending on your expectations about cleanliness. We would have like to stay a bit longer to contribute more to the project but we had to go. I do recommend this stay for someone how wants to experience an authentic rural nepali experience with amazing people 😊🙏

Thank you so much for staying with our family and becoming part of our lives. I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to make pasta and sauces with you. I love noodles more than rice, so being able to try three different kinds of pasta made me very happy. I was also grateful for your clear, step-by-step explanations of how to make the sauces, and the delicious pancakes for breakfast. It was a wonderful experience for us. Thank you also for helping me practice my English. I appreciate your initiative in asking about what parts of English I found difficult. You encouraged me to share my thoughts, and used things around us to begin conversations. This gave me many chances to practice speaking English. Although my vocabulary was limited and we sometimes misunderstood each other, you never gave up on communicating with us. Thank you for your patience in interacting with Gourd, and sharing your world with us—your food, the places you've been, and your insights into life, the economy, and different cultures. I had a great time at Midori-Dan's during mid October-mid December. She is a really interesting person and incredibly open to teaching her Workawayers about Japanese culture. As a musician, I would be remiss not to mention that I really benefited from the beautiful Yamaha upright piano that she has. The countryside is incredibly beautiful and a must-see in Japan! I learnt a lot from this experience and had a blast :) I would recommend to try the pizza at Koa Monpe, and to check out the hot springs Aswell as of course going on long walks around the area and doing cultural things like Tea Ceremony and cooking . I volunteered here with Liceu for 2 months and had an amazing experience! Dayana and Haraldo are incredible people, running a really cool program here They live in a town called Boiçucanga, a place filled with life, culture, sports, beaches, hikes and then sits along the Litoral Coastline, lined with endless things to explore The hours are great, and I had the best time with the students. I made some really great friendships and had some of the coolest days outside of class with them. I was even fortunate enough to be invited to family BBQ’s and enjoy “Masterchef” Haraldo’s cooking Plus, there’s always one other volunteer with you there at the same time, and for me that just topped off my whole experience! 100% recommend

It’s been a month since I arrived with Jalam and his friends. During this time, I helped both at the hotel and on the safari, especially during the Christmas and New Year period. Jaisalmer is an amazing city. The hotel is a great place to meet new people every day, and the staff quickly became real friends. Everyone is very welcoming, easygoing, and always ready to laugh and joke. The desert safaris were a great experience as well. Celebrating the end-of-year holidays in a t-shirt in the desert is something I won’t forget. In the end, one month is definitely not enough. I’ll be back next year. 🐪❤️

I will never forget my time with Jane and her lovely dogs, Rex and Clover. We went on many dog walks at the beach and in the park, and I also got to meet the horse — Jane even let me try horse riding, which was such a special experience. Even though there wasn’t much work for me during my stay, I truly enjoyed every moment. Jane showed me some beautiful nearby towns and let me experience everyday suburban life. She even gave me a Christmas gift, which was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Thank you, Jane, for such a warm and memorable stay.

Although I stayed for only a week, it was such a meaningful experience. Saananda was incredibly kind and welcoming, and even took me to see penguins and platypus, which I will never forget. Thank you so much for the delicious home-cooked meals and the lovely TV time we shared together. I learned a lot about gardening during my stay, but even more than that, I was truly inspired by your life story. You are so wise, and I learned a great deal from our conversations. Thank you for making me feel at home and for such a memorable week.

I am so glad that I was able to go to this place. Kate and James have created something beautiful and so important. If you are a Workawayer looking to genuinely help animals and make a difference, I could not recommend this Workaway enough. You will be able to spend an incredible amount of time with animals every day, feed them, take care of them, and learn about them as individuals and where they came from. I am very grateful for my time here and would easily go back in the future. It was a pleasure to get to know Kate and James (and Elsie and Dave). These animals are all truly where they are meant to be, being taken care of by people who care about them and value their lives, in a place where they can live out the course of their natural lives with honor and respect. I truly wish you both, and all of the animals, the best!

Staying at the Farm was such an enriching experience for us. We met many amazing volunteers, both long-term or helping only for a week or two. We learned so much about farming, animals and how it is to live in a rural place in Vietnam. Due to rainy season there were no kids at the farm but we had the opportunity to help during an English class dedicated to adults who were so enthusiastic about speaking in English with us. Thank you very much to Ha, Tofu, Chicken, Mai, Grace and Zemi for making us feel like home!

Thank you both Luna and Jelle for staying with us. We greatly appreciated your help with cleaning and cage building around our place and for the love you lavished on our dogs. They loved their runs with Jelle every day. We so enjoyed Luna and Jelle. They were great company for us, friendly and caring to our family and worked really hard with energy and enthusiasm in everything they did. We also greatly appreciated their independence and we do wish them both blessings over the next few months of their travels.

I spent 10 days here, and it was my first workaway experience. I liked the host, Man, and his daughter and son were very welcoming and kind. My English isn't very good, but that didn't cause me any discomfort. I believe this host offers year-round work opportunities, including working in the garden, cafe, or building treehouses. I helped build a treehouse; we lived 10 minutes by bike from the main camp. It's on a mountainside, so you'll be closer to nature and a little isolated from civilization. We worked 5-6 hours a day, collecting building materials for the treehouse, assembling it, and maintaining the camp (watering plants and raking leaves). Overall, I enjoyed everything; I was able to immerse myself in nature, gain construction skills, and learn a lot about local life. Man's friend, Zi, also helped us; he's a very kind, patient, and experienced person.

I absolutely loved the month I spent here with Alandra and Shey. They were so warm and welcoming, they really made me feel like a valued member of their little community. We had some great chats and I felt that I learned a lot from them. They are wise and spiritual beings with great senses of humour and a loving disposition. I stayed in their guest tent which is very cozy and comfortable. They worked hard to make my living area feel homely and welcoming. There were multiple wifi routers throughout the property which meant there was always good wifi available. The work I did here was very fair and satisfying. I mostly worked in their gardens and was even allowed to share some of the fruits and vegetables they grew! They were very flexible with hours and gave clear instructions on what work could be done. Overall, I very much enjoyed this workaway and would highly recommend it to anyone. It felt like a real taste of rural Australia and will remain a fond memory of mine. Cheers Alandra and Shey x
