Greetings to the Workaway host community.

I've just returned from Europe and have landed back on this Great Southern Land... it's good to be home (vanlifer).

I was born in France but immigrated with my parents to Australia as a child. I am living a wonderful life and have spent my adult life learning as much as I can about life, nature, people and myself. I have raised a son singlehandedly, who I am extremely proud of, as he is a good man, a loving and respectful husband and father.

I am an artist and primary school teacher teacher who is continually learning. As a human being, I've spent much time developing ways to navigate my way through life creatively and diplomatically. I enjoy the company of people who respect animals and nature. As a creative individual, I enjoy creating all manner of art from visual, textile, digital and the performing arts.

Recently returned from Spain and volunteered as a hospitalera on the Camino Aragonès and Frances, as I completed the Camino Frances last year. I was based during April in Canfranc, Grañón in May and St Jean Pied du Port, France in June 2025.

In 1986-87, I backpacked Southeast Asia. This adventure changed the trajectory of my life and I have continued in the Eastern tradition ever since. I became a vegetarian at aged 21 but didn't impose it on my son, as it is my decision and I do not force my views on anyone.

I've lived off grid and spent the last 5 years enjoying the van life, driving 180,000 kms, living and working across Australia as a forensic science presenter for primary aged students, also with my own little venture exploring the world of insects.

I've a 5 year old granddaughter, and enjoy creating digital animations for her and other young children. I was a mine artist and taught mime for 15 years when I was a primary school teacher.
