Dear Workawayers, welcome to our Farm:
I’m Ha. I was born and raised in a poor village in the middle of central Vietnam and as a child, I dreamt that one day I could make a change within my village and help my local people to live better lives. After graduating from university in Vietnam, I spent more than 5 years living and studying abroad in places such as Israel, Singapore and Denmark. I worked as an agricultural and tourism volunteer in more than 20 countries around the world and at the end of 2021, I returned to my village and started an organic farming and education project.
The mission of this project:
- Create an environment for cultural exchange between international volunteers, Vietnamese interns and the local Vietnamese community through sharing cuisine, cultural practices, and language.
- Provide the village children with free access to English classes; allowing them to learn another language, understand different cultural perspectives, push themselves outside of their comfort zones, build confidence, and develop themselves so that one day, they too can make a change to their hometown.
- Preserve traditional agricultural methods, practices, and values by inviting children to visit the farm for a day and experience what it’s like to be a farmer.
- Share our knowledge of agriculture and agricultural tourism with the local community and demonstrate how these can help people escape poverty, sustainably.
My objective is not to make money from the poor village people but instead, to provide them with opportunities and resources, to develop themselves and change their economic circumstances. For this reason, I work hard every day in the city of De Nang to make money to reinvest in the farm so that we can continue to help the village children for free.
We are also building small projects, providing chargeable services to city children and reinvesting the profits into maintaining and developing our farm.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje
