Hello, my name is Anthony, I'm 25 years old, and I'm French. I'm passionate about hitchhiking. I've completed my tour of Europe and now I wish to travel to collect all the countries of the world and live in each of them for at least a few weeks to truly discover the cultures through encounters and daily moments of sharing.

I waited to finish my studies before starting my trip, so I got my carpentry diploma and then retrained to become a web and mobile application developer.

I'm leaving on August 1st from France, and my first goal is to reach the Great Wall of China. I plan to travel solely by hitchhiking and I have no time limit, so I intend to take side trips to visit all the most beautiful places that you can suggest to me along the way.

I love hiking and the great outdoors. To observe it better I have my diving and paragliding certificates.

Since the age of 8, I've spent most of my evenings, weekends, and school holidays at the farm just behind my house. Whenever I could, I'd help sort potatoes, clean the greenhouses, harvest cherry tomatoes, and run the shop. After finishing helping with milking the cows, I'd proudly return home with my few vegetables and hard-earned bottle of milk that I was proud to give to my parents. So, maybe I was the one who invented the concept of Workaway at 8 years old :)

I waited until I was 25 to embark on my world tour because I first wanted to complete my studies. I have a Bachelor's degree in Web Development and Mobile Application, and I worked for a year at SNCF (French National Railway Company). Now, I'm ready to travel and finance my journey by creating some websites with my laptop around the world.

PS: Don't worry, I'm easy to convince. If you suggest going to the bar, I'll easily put down my computer 🍻

I spent a few great weeks with Simon, Emma, and their kids. From the start, they made me feel very welcome, and the atmosphere was always great. I helped build a wooden shelter above the terrace to protect it from the rain, which will also be used as a support for the hop plants.

Anthony stayed with us for four weeks during the winter, and we were very impressed with his hard work and dedication. He built a waste area out of Euro pallets, which turned out to be very useful.
