Vincent was a pleasure to host. I'm always happy to host people who have retired and now using the workaway platform to find opportunities to explore yhe world. Vince was hard working, pleasant and enjoyable to have around. I enjoyed our morning visits and philosophical discussions. Good luck in your further adventures Vince.

I really enjoyed my experience. The hosts Phaedra and Ben made me feel at home immediately. Ben was kind and patient and explained in detail what he required,whilst at the same time being flexible to make my stay enjoyable. The accommodation was great. Tidy and clean with my own shower and kitchenette. It's location is ideal for shopping going to the beach or cafe . Skiathos it's self whilst very touristic is a beautiful breath taking island with green forests rugged hills and beaches there are amazing views around every bend that leaves you excited to see the next lots of opportunities to find peaceful places or to enjoy the vibrant nightlife and the indigenous peoples warmth and kind generosity who welcomed me wholeheartedly . I felt safe and secure, I heard no sirens , saw no violence and felt accepted by the host and the people of skiathos. Very beautiful experience very grateful

My stay with Renato was about a week and a half long and it was a wonderful experience! I helped primarily with garden work and care for his chickens. Renato was very laid back about how much work he expected from me, and was very flexible if I was feeling tired or jet lagged. We would share meals together and went into nearby towns together if Renato had errands to run. It was lovely spending time with him and having lots of different conversations about life and culture. The house and garden are utterly beautiful, you can see and feel how much love Renato puts into the place :)

After a few disappointing volunteering experiences elsewhere, I was cautious about finding another volunteeing experience. However, Hanna’s detailed explanations about the farm and the tasks couldn’t have been clearer or more reassuring. From the very beginning, communication was crystal clear which made the entire experience feel much more relaxed. Even so, my time there ended up exceeding my expectations in more ways than I could have imagined. I was originally planning to stay for just 1 month but after only 2 weeks, I already knew I wanted to stay longer and extended my stay to 2 months! During that time, I had the privilege of witnessing the beautiful transition from spring to summer and even experienced a snowy day, lucky me! I was also there for the birth of lambs, which was one of the many unforgettable new experiences I had. Another highlight was swimming in a lake, a beloved Finnish tradition, alongside discovering the sauna culture. On a daily basis, I fed the animals and gradually got to know the unique personalities of each sheep, horse, duck, chicken, and of course, Maiko. I never truly felt alone as Maiko was always of great company, even when the tasks required 0 Maiko! Her enthusiasm was contagious!, The work itself was tailored to my interests, which were primarily animal-focused. My tasks included mucking out the horse paddock, preparing the stables for the ewes, raking loose straw from the pathways, clearing wood shavings etc. Each task had a clear and visible purpose, which made the work satisfying knowing that my efforts directly contributed to the animals’ comfort made every bit of hard work worthwhile. Hanna also introduced me to basic gardening and generously shared her extensive knowledge. I left with a strong desire to start my own garden and grow my own produce and to recreate all the delicious meals she prepared! By the end of your stay, you’ll probably be begging Hanna to write a cookbook! Both Hanna and Rami are curious, open-minded people who were always attentive, encouraging, and welcoming. Rami’s passion for martial arts led to many interesting conversations and even a small lesson in his dojo. Thank you for your patience, dedication, and willingness to share your knowledge! From start to Finnish—pun intended 😆 (I think Rami’s dad jokes got to me too) this has been a truly enriching human experience. Only one I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who is soul-searching, looking to reconnect with nature or simply ready to immerse themselves in another culture.

A pleasure to meet and to host Lucille, a willing worker , very independent that got on with the job. There was the odd misunderstanding with the language but a good workaway experience. I can recommend Lucille to future hosts

I stayed with Mladen and his beautiful family for only two weeks but I wish it was more! I had such a nice stay! Work was pretty easy and very flexible - it was more like finding my own job here so I feel like contributing to this place😂! They all welcomed me with a warm hug, I really fell in love with this family. You can talk to them and learn so many things about their country and culture! If I ever come back to Montenegro I have to visit them again! I recommend everyone to try to volunteer here!🫶☀️

This was my first workaway experience and Frank was great! He was very generous and kind, and I loved exploring Enschede. I helped Frank plant some flowers, reorganize some spaces, and did some basic cooking. I played volleyball for the first time and Frank also took me to a very nice food truck festival. We had some good conversation and shared some nice meals. Enschede is gorgeous and I would love to see it again. Best of luck with the garden Frank!

Sophia stayed with me as a Workaway helper for two weeks. From the very beginning, she was a pleasure to have around. She is a friendly, easy-going and intelligent young woman who quickly became part of everyday life here. She was reliable at all times and could always be trusted to follow through on her commitments. She completed all tasks assigned to her conscientiously and with a positive attitude. She was willing to take on a variety of jobs and never shied away from work. On a personal level, our time together was equally enjoyable. The atmosphere was always respectful, open and cheerful. Communication was clear and straightforward throughout her stay, which made both living and working together very easy. I can wholeheartedly recommend Sophia to other hosts and would gladly welcome her back anytime.

I loved the experience here, so much so I ended up staying for almost a month. Andrés has a property where he cultivates fruit and vegetables and most of the work was done there (watering, planting, weeding etc). The place has a wonderful setup if you don't mind camping. We normally worked in the morning and did activities in the afternoon (climbing, surfing, going to the beach) and it was a very relaxed environment. It was pretty social. There were around 4 other workawayers on average and we also got to meet quite a few people from around the area. Overall great experience.

I stayed with this family for about two weeks, and it was a wonderful experience. I will never forget the first day I arrived at their house. They gave me a very warm welcome and kindly said, "Please make yourself comfortable." Those words helped me recover from the fatigue of my journey and made me feel at home immediately. They have a very regular routine and wake up at 6:30 every morning. When I was in my hometown, I tended to stay up late, but spending time with them helped me develop healthier habits. It was my first time experiencing a vegetarian lifestyle, and although it took me a little time to get used to it, I came to realize how delicious vegetables can be and gained a greater appreciation for the blessings of nature. Depending on the day, Barbara and Csaba were sometimes at home and sometimes out taking care of their respective responsibilities during the daytime. Regardless of the situation, they always gave me clear instructions, allowing me to focus on my daily tasks, such as watering plants, removing weeds, and cleaning the house. They were also very generous about allowing Workawayers to go sightseeing during the free time, and they kindly shared a list of recommended places to visit around Skåne. Barbara is a hardworking and organized person. She prepared delicious meals for us every day and managed everything efficiently. Her organized approach made it very comfortable and easy for me to stay as a Workawayer. Csaba is an incredibly kind person who always cheered me up with his gentle smile. Even though he had a very busy schedule, he patiently taught me how to carry out the gardening projects and was always willing to answer my questions. Artúr is absolutely adorable and full of energy. From the very first day I arrived, he invited me to play with him. He would sometimes try to help with my tasks using his tiny hands, which was incredibly cute and heartwarming. As a Hungarian family living in Sweden, they shared many interesting perspectives about both countries and cultures. Even when Artúr spoke Hungarian, Barbara and Csaba would translate for me and make sure I felt included in the conversation. Thanks to them, I was able to create unforgettable memories and spend truly precious moments together. I highly recommend spending time with this lovely family in the peaceful village of Västra Karaby.

Wonder and Angelu are angel helpers:-) Having them at our house for 10 days was a wonderful experience. Both have so much knowledge about house and garden caring so that our veg garden came again to much more to blossom and Angelu‘s talent of using tools and bringing back furniture or waterings system, or, or… to live also helped so much. Wonder ist the fairy for the plants. Kids and cats loved the also very much. Please, come back when. ever you want.

I had a great time during the two weeks I spend with Anouk! She is a very open, easy to talk to and interesting person. We had very nice evening, playing games or just chatting. About the tasks, it is a lot of garden work as announced like weeding, mowing, making space for the animals and organising the barn or other storage spaces as well as some light household maintenance. She really takes into account your strength to assign tasks you will enjoy. You won't be bored, as there is enough things you can do around. I really enjoyed just going for a walk and visiting the surrounding citys (Bonn, Siegburg and Köln). And even after that Karl (the dog) won't let you be bored and ask to play all the time! Karl and Garry (the cat) are both very affectionate, the only thing I have to say is, be careful with the rooster, he can get aggressive. I recommend Anouk as a host if your looking for a stay close to nature and are not afraid to get your hands dirty.

I stayed with Frank&Merel and all their beautiful animals for about a month and it was an absolute joy! With fun and varied tasks as repairing, gardening, creating new spaces for their glamping business as well as creative tasks, the days went by so fast. Frank and Merel were great hosts with a lot of heart for both their home and the small community. Getting to know the neighbors and experiencing the Albanian culture through this workaway was an amazing experience! I'm gonna miss the conversations, Merels amazing food, Tito the dog, the cats Alpha and Beshi together with the chickens and the turtles. All the love!

Two very quiet, dependable, and polite girls. They are dedicated to their assigned work and often show strong perfectionist traits. I highly recommend them for all of these qualities.

Julie et Laurent sont très sympas et rigolos ! C'était un plaisir de les avoir avec nous pendant un mois. Ils nous ont laissé des petites blagues à découvrir après leur départ de la maison. Nous les recommandons les yeux fermés ! Ils ont aussi été très volontaires pour le travail à la ferme et aidants à la maison.

We spent two weeks at Leo and Laura’s place looking after their glamping spot while they were away for the arrival for their first baby. The tasks were pretty straightforward, we’d greet guests, prepare breakfast, and do housekeeping to get ready for the next guests. It was a bit busier than expected as there were guests almost every night - but everyone that stayed was lovely and we enjoyed getting to meet so many new people. Nemi was a very cute town and we found a couple of spots we liked to visit, and even befriended a couple of people who lived in Nemi. It was a shame not to spend more time with Leo and Laura, but we wish them all the next for the next chapter in their lives :)

This is not a feedback but a love-letter to this place and the people there. Thank u, Die Taube in Bromskirchen (with your name means the pigeon, so goofy cute 🥰 ) you gave me so many love and soft happy energy, and I love you even more. Thank you the pigeon leader Justus, thank you for your fully kindness and optimism, your constructing and protecting this magical place. Thank you all the amazing people here, thank you for guiding me seeing a magnificent world. We will, definitely, meet again.

Adam has been a great workawayer with us, he immersed himself in the community here, spending a lot of time with the children and doing lots of different tasks, during his time here he was a sort of Jack of all trades - fixing things, driving the cars, vans and motorbikes when needed, and always being there for whatever needing doing. He was a great worker, honest and kind, and helped in every way, we wish him the best on his travels and future workaways and projects, and hope to see him again soon, many blessings

Paloma's time with us was really great, she was a very valued member of our team and community, she was always doing things for the children and got along so well with them. Paloma is a very caring person and also helped a lot with the new volunteers, and always keeping the volunteer area homely. Paloma is missed by us all, especially the children, and we wish her all the best in her travels and hope to see her again soon! lots of blessings from us all

Flora and Florian are great people and great workawayers, they stayed with us on two separate occasions, for a month and a half all up, they were such a integral part of our community and are very much missed! they made strong bonds with the children, while doing all sorts of tasks, and used their skills in helping prepare some of our autistic children for school, their time here was very precious and we all miss them dearly, and wish them all the blessings on their journeys, and looking forward to seeing them again. much love
