Three years ago we left the Netherlands behind us and started our adventure in Albania. Now we are nestled in a peaceful mountain village. Our journey to a self-sufficient, healthy and happy life is in full swing. In our region, you can enjoy beautiful walks where you can admire the sight of dazzling flowers and fragrant herbs along the way. The St. Nicholas Church is easily accessible on foot. On weekends, we love to visit the flea markets in the city, where we can discover unique finds and local treasures. Every Thursday, there is a local market in Gjinar, where fresh produce and artisanal goods can be found. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience the local culture and enjoy the sense of community.

Enjoy the Albanian mountain life and, meet locals and let yourself be carried away by unexpected events. The historic St. Nicholas Church in Shelcan is within walking distance. On weekends, we enjoy visiting the flea markets in the city

Chopping wood: The fireplace is waiting for firewood!
Building a guest house: We dream of a cozy place for workawayers to stay.

We have a simple room available in our house with a double bed. The bathroom (toilet and shower) is shared with us. We also provide breakfast and the main meal in the afternoon
