  • Description

I am from Singapore, currently on a working holiday in New Zealand! I'm excited to learn more about New Zealand, explore new places & cultures and meet new people here! Having lived in a city my whole life, I'm especially curious to experience what life is like in the countryside and living close to the nature! I'm on a journey to discover what's next after being a industrial/service designer for close to a decade and maybe find a new calling :)

  • More details about your skills

I have a background in industrial design and spent the past 7 years working as a service designer in the airline and banking industries. I’m currently on a working holiday in New Zealand, taking a break from my career to experience a more hands-on and outdoor lifestyle.

I enjoy building and creating things. I’ve worked with materials like wood and foam to make models, and I also do some 3D printing (phone holders, keychains, small useful items). I’m comfortable assembling furniture, fixing small household items, and figuring things out when something breaks.

I’m happy to help with general tasks like cleaning, organising, and day-to-day household work. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and people often rely on me for staying calm and keeping things organised. I’m also comfortable with outdoor and manual work, and I’m keen to learn new skills, especially farming and woodworking.

I’ve worked with different teams in my career and also have some experience as a teaching assistant for young kids. I’m generally calm and easygoing, but can be energetic when I’m excited about something.

I speak English and Chinese fluently and would be happy to help with language practice.

On the creative side, I have experience in video editing, social media content, and basic UI design. I’ve also helped manage social media for a small snack brand.

I can cook simple meals (mostly Asian food and some pasta), and I’m comfortable helping out with chores or events.

I enjoy quieter, countryside environments and am really interested in learning more about farm life, woodworking, and Kiwi culture. I’m open-minded, adaptable, and always happy to help where needed.
