    Vittoria
I am a creative, sensitive, warm and motivated person who enjoys contributing with both my physical energy and creative ideas.I enjoy simple living, appreciate being part of environments connected to nature, community, and meaningful work.I thrive in international environments (I speak English,Spanish and Italian), adapt easily and enjoy both dynamic teamwork and quiet, mindful moments. I am curious by nature, and I enjoy learning through direct experience, connecting with people, and exploring new ways of living. Creativity is an important part of who I am, and I love handcrafting, painting, drawing, writing, and music.
I live with a mindful and holistic approach, practicing yoga and meditation, and I feel deeply inspired by natural cycles, plants, and simple living.I like to hike and rockclimbing :) These practices help me stay present, calm, have fun and connected to myself.

    BACKGROUND :
My love for travel led me to work since very young in hospitality as tourist villages, campsites and restaurants ans volunteering in spiritual retreat center and permaculture projects. Through these experiences, I have lived and worked in shared environments, cooked vegan/vegetarian meals for groups, and supported the maintenance, cleaning and organization of outdoor spaces and activities, both with guests and community members.
These experiences taught me responsibility, flexibility, and how to effectively contribute positively to the place I join.

At the same time, working with children has been a very meaningful part of my path. I am currently studying Pedagogy at university, expanding my knowledge of education and child development.

Over the past three years, I have worked as a babysitter and in summer camps, creating supportive environments where children can learn, express themselves, and feel safe. I have organized activities involving art, outdoor exploration, and learning through play. Volunteering at a school in India was another impactful experience, strengthened my desire to work in educational spaces that respect each child’s individuality.

Through Workaway, I hope to support projects where I can share my energy, learn new skills, and contribute to spaces that value creativity, nature, and human connection.

    Nikolai:
I'm someone who's always been drawn to different experiences and learning new things. My journey has taken me through some interesting paths, from the fast-paced world of kitchens to the rewarding connections of social work, the hands-on satisfaction of eco-projects and the yoga journey I've started in India.I'm excited to explore new environments through Workaway and offer my skills and a positive attitude to a project I can get behind.

My Background & What I've Learned:

My first career was as a culinary chef. It was intense, but it taught me the importance of organization, efficiency, and working well under pressure. More than that, it gave me a real appreciation for creating something enjoyable for others – that feeling of someone truly enjoying a meal you've prepared is pretty special. Being a chef definitely shaped my sense of responsibility and commitment to a task.
Those interactions really sparked my curiosity about different cultures and personal stories.
Driven by a desire to understand and support people on a deeper level, I then moved into social work. This was a truly impactful experience, where I learned the importance of listening, empathy, and trying to understand different perspectives. I developed skills in remaining calm in challenging situations, helping to find common ground, and adapting to diverse needs. Working in a team and learning to make the most of available resources were also key takeaways.
Alongside my professional life, I've always been curious about the world and passionate about the environment. This led me to volunteer in various eco-projects, where I discovered a knack for practical tasks, maintenance, and basic DIY. It's been really rewarding to learn new hands-on skills and contribute to something positive. It was also during this time that I decided to learn Spanish, just out of personal interest.
More recently, I've been volunteering with my partner, Vittoria, at a campground and climbing organization. This experience has brought together many of the skills I've picked up along the way from assisting climbing groups, offer yoga classes on the rooftop and helping with renovations.
