  • Description

    Hello from Phoebe & Victor!
We’re a couple from Melbourne, Australia, taking a 12-month break from our careers to travel through Europe - seeking meaningful experiences, new friendships, and the chance to explore life at a slower, more grounded pace.

We’re both motivated by curiosity, personal growth, and connection - whether it’s learning a new skill, helping out in a local project, or simply sharing stories over a home-cooked meal. We’re outgoing, hardworking, and excited to contribute wherever we go.

    About Phoebe (28)
I work in sales in the digital health space and have a strong background in communication and problem-solving. I’m also tech-savvy and comfortable with computers. Outside of work, I love spending time in nature, hiking, skiing, or getting lost in a good book among my indoor plants. I’m passionate about gardening and have studied garden design. I also practice yoga and grew up horse riding in New Zealand, which sparked a lifelong love for horses. I enjoy capturing moments through photography and video, something I do more for fun, but it’s a creative outlet I really love.

    About Victor (29)
I’m a qualified landscaper with a passion for the outdoors and all things hands-on. I love hiking, swimming, cycling, skiing, and getting stuck into physical work. On the creative side, I play multiple instruments including saxophone, clarinet, piano, and guitar and enjoy baking, crochet, and a good board game or chess match. I value simplicity, hard work, and new experiences that challenge and inspire me.

    Together
We thrive on adventure and balance each other well - combining creativity, practicality, and a shared love of nature. Our recent adventures include hiking the Overland Track in Tasmania, running half marathons in Melbourne and the Gold Coast, and road-tripping along Australia’s east coast.

We’re eager to get involved, meet new people, and immerse ourselves in different ways of life. Whether it’s helping in the garden, working on creative or practical projects, or just being friendly, helpful company - we’re here for it.

    Looking forward to meeting you,
    Phoebe & Victor

    Our Skills & Experience
We bring a wide range of practical, professional, and creative skills - backed by real-world experience, a strong work ethic, and a genuine love for learning. We’re both hands-on, adaptable, and thrive in collaborative environments where we can contribute meaningfully and pick up new skills along the way.

    Phoebe’s Skills & Experience
    • Sales & Communication: I work in sales in the digital health industry and have a background in nursing, which has given me strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
    • Tech-Savvy: I’m confident using computers, digital tools, and systems, and I enjoy finding simple ways to streamline processes or help others with tech.
    • Gardening & Design: I’ve studied garden design and have a passion for both indoor and outdoor plants. I’m experienced in garden maintenance, landscaping concepts, and creating beautiful spaces.
    • Animal Care: I’ve grown up around animals (including horses) and feel very comfortable around pets. I’ve also helped care for animals through our recent house and pet sitting experiences.
    • Creative & Practical: I enjoy photography and capturing video content, am neat and reliable with tasks, and am quick to learn new routines.

    Victor’s Skills & Experience
    • Qualified Landscaper: With years of hands-on landscaping experience, I’m confident using tools and machinery, working on garden builds, bricklaying, paving, general stonework, planting, and general maintenance.
    • Animal Lover: I’ve spent a lot of time with animals and love working with them. I’m calm, patient, and attentive, especially when it comes to pet care.
    • Musician & Creative Thinker: I play several instruments (saxophone, piano, clarinet, guitar), and also enjoy baking, crochet, and creating with my hands.
    • Outdoor & Practical: I’m comfortable with physically demanding work, whether that’s gardening, lifting, cleaning, repairs, or maintenance. I take pride in being reliable, thorough, and proactive.

We are also both great home cooks and love to bake! We would love to share our cuisine.

Why We’d Be Great on Workaway
We’re both respectful, tidy, self-motivated, and excellent at following instructions. We’re also easy to communicate with, love working as part of a team, and always bring a positive, can-do attitude. Our varied backgrounds mean we can adapt quickly to different environments - whether that’s helping out on a property, assisting with DIY tasks, caring for animals, or contributing to creative or digital projects.

Our recent experience house and pet sitting around Melbourne has further strengthened our reliability and care in looking after someone else’s home, pets, and lifestyle - something we take seriously and do with genuine care.

Ultimately, we’re excited to work hard, learn from others, and give back to the people and places we visit.
