Hello! Nice to meet you, my name is Verity, I am 22 years old and I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. I am half English, half Dutch. I have many interests ... i love anything to do with nature, music , reading , writing and crafting. I try to spend most of my time outside and swimming is my absolute favorite thing to do. I also love music, I sing and play guitar and I have written songs and sung in a band in Edinburgh for the past six years. I love making connections with new people, I'm an open person who enjoys learning about new new cultures.

I have completed two workaway stays in Italy, both for the duration of one month and both babysitting and teaching English to a young child. My tasks where helping with homework, teaching English, playing and taking them out to the par and extra curricular activities. Additionally, I cooked dinner and cleaned for these families. These where both very rewarding as I had the opportunity to learn about Italian culture and also gain experience with children and I am now very confident in my babysitting skills.

Previously in my home town of Edinburgh I worked as a carer for several months, my tasks included general care such as bathing, personal care, administering medications etc. I also took care of household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, ironing, pet care and plant/garden work. Additionally, I managed her admin, social calendar and I also take her on trips out of the house. This job provided me with the skills of working to someone else's schedule and building strong working relationships as we spent the majority of time one on one.

I am also very knowledgeable when it comes to music, I have been singing for 12 years and playing guitar for 10. I have been in a band for the past seven years where I have had the opportunity to play many live gigs (including in Italy), run our social media platforms and interact with many people across the music industry.

Previously I have also worked in a organic food shop in Edinburgh, this taught me customer service and I also gained extensive knowledge on organic food and healthy eating and cooking. I have also worked as a waitress at a Mexican restaurant, so I have experience both in hospitality and retail.

When I was a teenager I volunteered at a youth mental health charity for several years and this was a wonderful experience in which I was able to speak to younger children about their experiences in school.

As for education, I left high school with all As and Bs on my exams. I studied HNC social science after school and got an A. I then went to study sociology at Stirling University and left with a second at HND level. I love learning very much.

I am a very crafty person and I would love to teach knitting or crochet or generally do any crafty projects if you wish to learn. I also have dual Dutch and British citizenship so I don't need a visa to travel.
