Description

Hi! We are two friends from Japan who went to the same university.
Currently we are both staying in Vancouver and are excited to start our Workaway journey together! :)

We both enjoy nature, meeting people from different backgrounds, and trying new things. Through Workaway, we’re hoping to connect with wonderful hosts, make new friends, and learn from every experience!!

At university we studied International Relations, and both of us have had study abroad experiences in Canada and the U.S. Ayaka has been working as a barista in a café in Vancouver since April 2025, and we both can communicate in everyday English.

We love spending time in the countryside, taking things slow, and staying away from social media. While we don’t have direct experience in farming or gardening, we’re eager to learn, open to any kind of work, and excited to try things we’ve never done before.

We’re easygoing, friendly, and happy to help out wherever needed. Looking forward to meeting you!

I have been working as a barista for several years, so I have experience with customer service, teamwork, and managing daily tasks efficiently.

We both majored in English at university and can communicate confidently in English, which helps in interacting with hosts and other travelers.

We have study abroad experience: I studied in Canada during university, and my friend studied in the USA. This has helped us adapt to new cultures and environments easily.

We are also quick learners and enjoy taking on new challenges, whether it’s helping with gardening, DIY projects, or household tasks.
