Hi! My name is Tommaso, I'm from Italy (Chianti area, right outside of Florence) and I work in luxury tourism as a private driver and tour leader in Tuscany.

I am passionate about travel, fitness, music and meeting people from different cultures. Through Workaway, I hope experience different ways of life and build genuine connections around the world.

I consider myself reliable, adaptable and easy to get along with. I am comfortable working independently, learning new skills and helping wherever needed.

I am particularly interested in cultural exchange, local experiences and projects that allow me to contribute while discovering a new place from a local perspective.

I would like to provide some context regarding the review of my first Workaway experience, as I feel that some aspects do not fully reflect what happened.

Regarding work clothes, I had not been informed beforehand that specific clothing was required, so I brought ordinary tracksuit clothes that I considered suitable for agricultural work.

I was never late for work and completed the requested working hours. The coffee break was initially discussed with me, and I was asked what time I preferred. I gave my preference while still completing the same amount of working time.

Throughout most of my stay, I experienced significant knee pain but continued with my regular duties. On one occasion, Danielle offered me a lighter task because of the pain, but I chose to continue with my usual work.

I also enjoyed meeting local people and socialising in the evenings, which was an important part of experiencing the local culture. However, this did not mean that I was looking for a cheap holiday or that I neglected my work responsibilities.

I acknowledge that this was my first Workaway experience and that every host has different expectations. I have learned from it and believe that clear communication about working conditions, schedules and requirements beforehand is essential for a positive exchange.

I am sharing this clarification to provide a more complete picture of my experience, while recognising that different people can have different perspectives on the same situation.
