Description
Hi, my names Tom! I'm 29 from the UK and I’m currently travelling up through South and Central America, starting in Argentina and slowly heading towards Mexico over the next few months. Whilst here I hope to explore as many countries and cultures as possible, as well as improving my Spanish and Portuguese!
At home in London I work as an architect, which I've done for the past few years, however I've come to South America with an interest and a desire to learn more about farming, local construction, food and agriculture here! I've really started to gain an interest in self sustaining architecture and agriculture and would love to meet like-minded people with the same interests, and help with any current projects. I would really love to help by using my knowledge of construction and architecture to help develop projects in south and central America.
I have some experience with construction projects over the past few years, including a small self build primary school in South Africa which I helped develop alongside a university in the UK, where I gained incredibly valuable skills and understanding of construction projects. I would love to get involved with as much construction work as I can !
Food is another passion of mine and as much as I love cooking I want to learn about farming and self sustaining agriculture techniques, so I would be interesting in helping with gardening and cooking where possible. I've worked in many hospitality roles throughout my studies and have always really enjoyed the personal side of it and being able to work as a team with other people to get whatever we are working on done well.
I also love art and would be happy to get involved with any art projects that I can help with! I'm also keen to get involved with any sports that people are interested in and up for playing in a team where I can!
