Description
Hello, we are Thomas and Rosa! We are excited to be planning Workaways later this year for our trip to Japan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, and India, starting in May. We have been together for 4 years and both enjoy travelling and volunteering.
Rosa has just graduated from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where she studied Costume. She is currently working as a seamstress and doing childcare. She has done a Workaway in Tanzania in 2021, where she helped to look after children in a Nursery. She has two dogs and is one of seven siblings, so she is used to being in a busy house!
Thomas is working for an environmental charity as a researcher, helping assist with renewable energy projects in the UK. He enjoys outdoor activities like walking, cycling, and sea swimming. He has also done a Workaway before in the UK where he worked on a community farm, and really enjoyed it. We both enjoy cooking together.
We are both really excited to explore Asia. We have travelled together to lots of countries before, but are looking forward to a new adventure. We want to do Workaways to understand more about life in different countries, help out with people and projects we think are interesting, and share our skills as part of a cultural exchange. We are hoping to find a Workaway that mixes both our interests, such as helping out with children and working in nature. Thank you for reading!

Rosa - I am currently working 3 days per week helping to look after a family's children, which I find really enjoyable, so looking after children is a good fit for me. I am a trained seamstress so also enjoy working with clothes and on creative projects such as dyeing and weaving. Alongside this I am motivated and enjoy helping out with household tasks, and learning new skills too.
Thomas - I worked as a gardener when I was younger, look after chickens at home, and have volunteered on a farm, so I really enjoy outdoor tasks and helping with farming and gardening. I am interested in sustainability, and would love to help out with any projects in this area. I'm also keen to learn new skills and experience new parts of life.

We both really enjoy cooking together, and exploring dishes from around the world. Thomas enjoys playing the guitar, and exploring places by cycling. Rosa likes playing with her dogs and knitting. We both like doing crossword puzzles!

The work was good and varied, though it could be very hot. But Jo and Jungson made sure we had nice food and breaks, and as it was only 5 hours a day it was always fine.
