Hi there! I'm Sam, an American in my 20s looking to volunteer and spend time helping while I'm between jobs. When I'm not traveling, I work developing software, and during my free time, I love to cook (which I'll be happy to do when I visit), ride my bike, read, and play board games. My favorite book is Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid, and I've been really enjoying collaborative games recently, like The Crew. I'm interested in philosophy, especially philosophy of mind, environmental science, and designing human-first technology. I'm always also looking to learn new things, especially languages! Personally, I like to keep busy, whether that's through something more relaxed like reading or a long conversation or something more active such as hiking. Looking forward to getting to know you!

I'm a hard worker and have lots of experience with household tasks including cleaning and cooking. I have extensive vegetarian cooking experience and will be happy to cook wherever I am. I have some experience with power tools and painting exteriors. In the past, I've also worked on farms and wineries so am happy to get my hands dirty and do outdoors work. I'm also quite experienced with technology and writing.
