Hello! I'm Sofia. I am a 22 year old with a passion for adventure, connection, and hands-on work. This August, before I begin my new role as a paralegal in New York, I’m hoping to immerse myself somewhere new through meaningful work and cultural exchange. I'm drawn to experiences that challenge me physically and mentally, and I love being in environments where I can both give and grow. Here are a few things about me: I’m active, enthusiastic, and love being outdoors whether it's hiking, working in the garden, or exploring a new city. I’m an animal lover (I have two dogs back home!) and would be thrilled to help with any animal care tasks. I’m a fast learner and not afraid to get my hands dirty. Whether it’s farming, cooking, building, cleaning, or organizing, I’m up for it. I’m very people-oriented and love connecting with others. I’ve spent over 5 years in customer-facing roles, including waitressing in a restaurant and working in retail. I’ve also participated in multiple home repair service projects, where I gained experience with basic construction, painting, and manual labor. I’ve worked as part of fast-paced teams and know how to stay adaptable, communicative, and hard-working even under pressure. I’m reliable, open-minded, and genuinely excited about learning from others. Whether you're looking for help around the house, support with a project, or just someone to pitch in wherever needed, I’d love to contribute.

-I have 5 years of experience working in restaurants as a waitress and bussing tables. I am good at cleaning, and work well in customer facing roles.
-I work really well with kids, and have been a sports coach for 3 years, and have months of experience as a nanny.
-I am handy and up for a challenge. I have done three one week service projects repairing homes around the US, and so will be happy to do manual labor.
-I work very well with animals and have had and trained dogs my whole life
-In the past I have interned at an advertising agency doing analytics and web design, and most recently just completed an internship at a law firm assisting attorneys. I am a strong problem solver, organized, and would be competent for any administrative work.

What else ...

I am very outgoing and social so have loved being able to travel and connect with new people. I just returned to Chicago after traveling around Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, so am looking forward to exploring a new region of the world. I love the ocean and have just recently gotten into scuba diving. I am excited to try to new things and experience travel through workaway.
