Hi, my name is Sophie! Travelling has always been a passion of mine and I find myself wanting to spend more time in different countries. I have started to learn Spanish with the goal to move to Spain in 2027.
I love hiking, camping, swimming - anything outdoors really. Indoors you'll find me reading, watching movies or cooking. I have been vegan for 10 years and happy to teach you about this if you like (:

For this summer I am looking to stay somewhere I can be immersed in the Spanish language. I feel like I've come very far with learning Spanish but I really need to be speaking it daily!

I'm open to animal care, au pair roles or just general help around the house/land in exchange for language practise. I can also help with English (:

I have a professional skillset that makes me very adaptable in any working environment. I am always happy to chat about what I do as I love educating others and feel it is important to share our knowledge and experiences with each other. I am hard-working and am passionate about helping others including animals. I can work independently and am willing to tackle any job with enthusiasm. I am a very quick learner and am happy to take direction and constructive feedback. I love animals and I feel very relaxed around them and have had a lot of experience with domestic animals, mainly dogs, cats and horses.
I have good communication skills and I am trained in conflict resolution. I also have a positive outlook on life whilst also acknowledging challenging emotions and proactively working through those.

I work in the helping profession and have worked cross many fields predominately with disadvantaged or vulnerable children and families. I enjoy working with people and it is a value of mine to empower people within my work and community.

I was suppose to spend 10 days at the shelter however, after one night I left. The accommodation is very basic as described but also unhygienic and crowded. Volunteering for Tina was a pleasure. All of the dogs are so beautiful and have amazing personalities. You can expect some dog fighting, cuddles, licks and lots of poo.
