  • Description

Hello! I am a Canadian backpacker with a passion for travelling and working with others to build communities together with others. I am from prairies but I grew up spending almost all my time in the mountains hiking, skiing, cycling and camping. I am used to rugged lifestyles and I thrive when I get to push my own limits.

I am looking first and foremost to meet new people and really engage with new cultures beyond the casual tourist experience.

  • More details about your skills

I have worked a variety of jobs, including landscaping, freelance digital artist, general handyman and research assistant. I have a very wide array of skills from horse back riding and care, to woodworking and landscaping, to digital marketing and graphic design. Pretty much anything you can think of, I have a some experience

For the last three years, I have been working as a rowing coach and boat repair technician in Canada. I also worked as a coordinator for a rowing club which involved the organization and completion of large sale projects around the club including the remodel of the entire upper floor, landscape the entire facility in anticipation of Head of the Trent Regatta, repair and updating the entire fleet of shells (approximately 100 competitive rowing boats). I also engaged with certain minority groups in the community including new Canadians, spinal cord injury and indigenous groups to provide rowing exposure events through Rowing Canada Aviron.

I am also comfortable driving manual vehicles and medium to small trailers.

  • What else ...

I am often an introverted person with no issue living with minimal social contact but I do love meeting and getting to know people.

Generally when given the option I will prefer a quiet night in to a big party but I am comfortable at both.

I play several instruments although I haven't had the chance to play much while I have been traveling.
