Description

It has been several years that I am using workaway now. It was always very enriching to meet people and their daily life. I would like to continuou that path and keep on sharing knowlage and good times. Spending all this time in other peoples places gave me a good insight of how to meet every bodys needs. Although they might be very different from eachother, there are some basic similaritys. My goal now is to make it possible for people to live together in harmonie so eveybody stays openminded towards hosting people and workawayers have a comfortable stay.
Therefore I would like to focus on the following projects that I have in mind:

Building offgrid showers that can be placed anywhere

building offgrid composting toilets that can be placed anywhere

water management system to store, distribute and save water

solar power systems with storage possibilitys

outdoor kitchen and livingroom acording to local weather conditions

all projects try to combine simple local material that is available with very little and low cost modern technology to maximize comfort , efficiency and automation while keeping the maintenance as low as possible.

Generally I try to work eather with things that grow naturally in the area or things that were thrown away taken from junkjards or dumsters.

Since I feel very connected to the sea and water in general I am looking for a place that offers acces to one of the following activities:
surfing, kitesurfing, wildwater kajaking

Else than talking about my skillset I like to to give you insight in my personality. My
Name is Simon, 27 years old and I was raised in Switzerland. Growing up in a wealthy country gives you a lot of possibilities. As a teenager with a wide range of interests, this was sometimes overwhelming. Growing older I found myself more and more. I am a very based person. The little things in life fascinate me the most. I like to see how the nature directly around us moves. I am a quiet person and I like to be occasionally alone in nature. On the other hand I really like to come home to a house full of people, chat together, eat together and play cards together. Water is a great part of my life. I am enjoying all activities in and on the water very much. The last five years I was teaching kitesurfing when I was abroad. I really enjoy working in other countries and experiencing new things, people and cultures. That is why I want to try workaway now.

I always liked to build and repair things. Most of my things I had when I was younger was stuff from the waist disposal that I had repaired.
Between April and October I worked in a non-profit Hotel in Switzerland. I am trying to take the best care of 13 000 m2 land next to the lakeside. This includes a garden and a forest as well as two building from the 80s and one 500 years old chalet.

As I am involved in all parts of the business I consider myself a all-rounder. Therefor I commit to have the following skills:
