Hello everyone!

My name is Sarah and I'm 27 years old from Germany. I'm studying to become a teacher (History/English) and I currently work as a substitute teacher at a school.

I would describe myself as an open-minded and curious person who enjoys discovering new cultures and meeting people from different backgrounds. I love exploring new places. In my free time, I enjoy reading, discovering new places, watch movies, or play some computer games. I also enjoy spending time with friends and trying out new activities. Furthermore, I love animals. I do have two cats (Fred and Luna), but I love dogs and as a younger child I had a cocker spaniel called Susi.

I first heard about Workaway from a colleague, and I was immediately intrigued by the idea of combining travel with meaningful experiences. Since I need to spend time in an English-speaking country for my studies, I thought Workaway would be the perfect way to do this.

I have always loved animals. I used to have a dog (Cocker spaniel called Susi), and I took care of her by walking, feeding, washing, ... At the moment, I have two cats. My Polish grandfather owns a farm with cows and dogs, so I have some experience being around farm animals.

I do enjoy gardening and have a small balcony where I grow some vegetables. I also like organizing and helping out with household tasks - I have often assisted my grandmother with housekeeping and cleaning. I have a driver's license.

I'm studying to become a teacher (Master) and have already gained experience as a substitute teacher. In addition, I have worked in retail and completed a three-week summer job in the industrial sectoral. I also have experience as a tutor, helping students in German, English, Mathematics, Latin, and even Politics.

Besides that I speak German (native speaker), Polish (native language, but only at basic level nowadays), English (learning since my 3rd grade), French (learned it for five years in school, but I have only basic knowledge now), Latin (studied as a requirement for my Bachelor degree), and Italian (currently learning).
