Description
I’m 36, from Melbourne, Australia, where I worked in the corporate world for 10 years — a path that helped me create a beautiful life. But to truly feed my soul, I’ve always been drawn to community, connection, and inner growth. For the past four years, I’ve been running a meditation group that started in Melbourne and later expanded to Byron Bay. It’s become an important and fulfilling part of my life, bringing people together through stillness and shared presence.
I love spending time in nature, meditating, journaling, cooking, reading, and deepening my understanding of myself through inner work. I’m currently inspired by Richard Rudd’s Gene Keys, and I’ve also been deeply moved by Zach Bush’s work on regenerative farming. I’m eager to learn more about permaculture and regenerative practices that restore the land rather than deplete it. My long-term goal is to live more self-sustainably — growing my own food and cultivating a relationship of respect and reciprocity with the earth.
I was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of the Himalayas, in a small town called Srinagar in Kashmir. The mountains have always felt like home to me, and I’ve carried that longing for nature wherever I go. Now, as life unfolds, I find myself in a position to travel through the UK and Europe, to learn and contribute to projects that truly nourish my heart — whether that’s teaching meditation, supporting a wellness retreat, or learning to grow food through regenerative methods.
Joining the Workaway community feels like a natural next step — a way to connect with people who are already living in alignment with these values. It would be a dream come true to live and learn alongside those who have built thriving, self-sustaining communities or wellness spaces that honour both the land and the human spirit.

More details about your skills
I’m a certified meditation teacher with several years of experience leading group and one-on-one sessions, both in community settings and for corporate teams. I love creating calm, welcoming spaces where people can slow down and connect more deeply with themselves and others. I’m also a caring and practical helper — I enjoy cooking nourishing meals, keeping spaces tidy and organised, and helping with daily tasks that support the flow of a retreat or community. Having grown up close to nature and recently begun learning about regenerative farming and permaculture, I’m eager to help with gardening, planting, and general farm work while learning hands-on from those with more experience. I bring reliability, warmth, and a willingness to learn wherever I go.

What else ...
I love being in nature and wild swimming in waterfalls, rivers, oceans even when it is cold. Music is my lifeblood, I dont play any instruments but consider myself to be a master admirer of anyone who is musical. I especially love folk music, and currently have been immersing myself in Nick Mulvey's beautiful soul stirring verses. I also enjoy "ecstatic dancing", especially barefoot out in nature. As mentioned earlier bringing people together is one of my foremost passions, and so cooking of friends and family, for a night of Charades or pictionary just fills me up with so much joy. I love reading, mostly non fiction, self help, spiritual type of books, especially love Michael Singer, Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell,James Hollis, Alan Watts, Graham Hancock and a few others. Sharing Ideas and philosophising on various topics is also something I enjoy, and I invite having my beliefs challenged as it always keeps me open to new ideas and way of being.
