Travelling to new places and experiencing other ways of living has always been a passion of mine. I love to try speaking local languages ( and reading local scripts/alphabets).
I'm currently working part time as a Registered Nurse in Haida Gwaii, a small isolated community off the central coast of western Canada. As much as I can I try to travel in my time off, which has lately been around Spain, Denmark, Portugal.

Previously I have done work on farms through WWOOF. That included lots of gardening, shovelling & moving around soil/compost, heavy lifting, working with animals. I helped care for chickens and goats. And learned to make cheese!!
During years living in Vancouver I lived in community houses where cooking & cleaning for each other was a major part of my life. Along with decorating and throwing dinner/dance parties too :) I love living with other people and finding harmony and fun together.
I love film photography and have lots of knowledge and skill on different kinds of cameras, setting up a darkroom, and making prints. Tho I am certainly not an expert it brings me joy!

Roci is a kind and generous host.The work was a little different everyday, which I loved. It involved helping with cleaning the bnb suites and general grounds, caring for plants, decorating, painting and organizing.
