Our next destination:
Sardinia, Italy - from Feb 2025 until Sep 2025 View allDescription
My name is Elizabeth Schwartz, and I am seeking a work-away experience to reconnect with myself, find deeper meaning, and foster connection with others while being surrounded by nature. I am a teacher, a lover of the outdoors, people, and laughter. I live in a small rural farming community in Vermont with my husband of 20 years and my teenage daughter. Clara, my 15 year old is kind, gentle, and adores animals and children, will be most likely be traveling with me. Together, we’ve explored Europe and share a passion for history—especially ancient history—and discovering the threads that connect us all.
While I worked on farms over 20 years ago, including time on a ginger farm in Hawaii and a CSA in upstate New York, my goal isn’t soley farming but rather to support and care for your home, animals, and property. I have a strong appreciation for the rhythms of rural life and an understanding of what it takes to tend to animals and maintain a peaceful, well-cared-for space.
I would be honored to support your home and farm while creating meaningful connections along the way. Depending on the timing, the needs of your property, and your accommodations we may be traveling as a family of 3. However, it will most likely just be the dynamic duo of my daughter and myself.Interests

What else ...
I love exploring new places and discovering history, particularly ruins and stories of the past. I nearly pursued archaeology in school but instead became a social worker focusing on maternal and child health, a role that allowed me to nurture my passion for helping others. Sunshine and art bring me joy, and I volunteer regularly in our community. I work not only as a teacher in a Pre-k classroom but as a children’s cooking assistant weekly at our local school. In both of these places, my heart for creativity, play, and silliness shines in my work with young children.
Being near water is one of my greatest joys—I love living by a river and experiencing its beauty through the seasons, whether swimming and playing in the summer or watching my children ice skating in the winter.
My husband, Josh, and I have shared 27 wonderful years, traveling and experiencing new places together. He has always been my greatest supporter and a source of laughter and joy. Our large dog is another great love in my life, and I treasure cozy afternoons cuddling with him by the fire.
My 15-year-old daughter has the kindest and most loving soul. She inspires me daily. She teaches me to slow down and find the magic in everything. She adores art, fuzzy and furry creatures, and has a gift for working with children. She is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever had the privilege of raising and knowing. I also have a brilliant son who is pursuing his degree in mechanical engineering. Parenting these two has been the greatest joy of my life and the pride that I have for their creativity, kindness, problem solving, and exploration in all things is humbling.
People often tell me they love my heart, and I believe that’s why I work so well in school settings. I enjoy connecting with others, finding creative solutions to challenges, and creating an environment where people feel supported and cared for. Some more information
