Description
We are a family of six (Michaela, Pavel, 3 daughters and our dog) living in a small village in Hostyn Hills (Hostýnské vrchy). We are former high school classmates who fell in love and married a few years after graduation. Shortly after our wedding, we moved to our house and got a cute White Swiss Shepherd. He is fluffy, very good with kids, and loves cuddling and his ball (but during our travels has another place to stay). We have three daughters ( 7 & 4 years and one baby girl).
We care about our environment, and we try to live sustainably.
We believe that education is a natural lifelong process happening in every moment of our lives. That's why we have decided for unschooling way of education.
Both of us work mostly from home – Pavel is a software developer, and Michaela is part-time working for an ecological NGO. We love good coffee, white wine & vegan food. Pavel enjoys music (actively and passively), and Michaela is a bookworm and sauna lover.
We first discovered Workaway many years ago while studying abroad—and instantly loved the idea!
Later, when our children were born and we weren’t able to travel as much anymore, we already had a place where we could host other volunteers – so we didn’t hesitate to give back and welcome others.
Over the past few years, Workaway has become part of our lifestyle, and hosting people through the platform has brought us many great experiences.
This year, with the birth of our youngest daughter, we also received extended parental leave from work. We decided to use this opportunity to travel with our children, because we just feel like being Workaway volunteers gives us way more than simply booking an Airbnb ever could. We’ve had a great experience in the Netherlands this summer and would love to set out again in the fall.
Our kids are calm, adaptable, and enjoy discovering new environments and they’re surprisingly good at keeping themselves busy while we work.
As a family, we’re tidy, organized, and respectful of others’ spaces.
