Description

I'm an English guy who spent 5 years working as an engineer in the UK before travelling for a few years. I recently spent a year in Vietnam playing drums with local bands! Right now I'm doing the digital nomad thing. I like woodworking, beaches, food, writing, deep conversation, meditation, creating things, solving problems and making music (mostly, drums but guitar and piano too). My main aim is to make things for a living, and spend my free time enjoying the beautiful things in life - the outdoors, good food and good company.

Oli helped us with some general jobs around the homestead and on our new vegetable beds and BBQ pit.
He's a very handy guy that's difficult to stop. I really appreciated the fact that I could just leave him to it. He seemed to enjoy the process just as much as I did. He thinks along with the work.

I spent a little over a week with Jack, Thuy and the family, and it was a special experience. I worked mostly with Jack on building a new vegetable bed, "strawberry hill", a new compost heap, and a big BBQ area.

The Ecofarm is a very special place. The vibe is always relaxed, the people are great, and there are some decent beaches nearby. I leave with fond memories of relaxing in the hammock and deep chats with the other volunteers. I spent a fantastic two weeks with Heidi and Winnie on Wolfe Island in early Oct. I had a great time helping to build a sauna, and Heidi taught me plenty of carpentry tricks along the way. I stayed with Lucile, Tom and Tiky for 20 days and it was a very special experience. They showed me the beautiful region, cooked wonderful food, and patiently helped me with my French (which is very bad). Tom is an excellent guitarist which helped build a lovely ambiance in the evenings. I would thoroughly recommend!

Working with Jeff, Oscar and the boys was one of the best experiences of my life. They were welcoming, generous and kind and I felt like part of the family. I had plenty to do on the grounds of the beautiful chateau and enjoyed spending my mornings digging, strimming and hoovering. Fully intend to go back some day. Best of luck to you all!
