Hi,
my name is Nik, I'm 31 years old and originially from Germany.

I studied astrophysics in the past and now I have moved into climate research, so I'm very interested in sustainability and ecology. For fun, I love to dance (mostly Salsa/Bachata), do some acrobatics, read a good book, and go hiking. I love nature and especially the mountains. I also volunteer for the Technical Relief Agency, Germany's civil protection agency. As you may be able to tell, I don't like to sit still :)

People generally describe me as kind, easy-going, calm and reliable. I think my biggest strength is my curiosity. I love learning about cultures, languages and how the world works in different places.

First of all, I have a PhD in astrophysics. That doesn't entail any physical skills, but I can talk a lot about stars, black holes, and the universe in general.
For something more useful, I volunteer for the Technical Relief Agency, Germany's civil protection agency. They have taught is a broad set of skills in woodworking, stone cutting, and tool usage in general.
I also go to the gym regularly, so I can do a good amount of physical labor in general.
I am also a dancer and have taught dance in the past, which means I can do a decent amount of entertaining.
Generally, I am quite good at picking up new skills and eager to learn, with a good teacher I should be able to do anything :)
