Description
Hi there,
My name is Nicolas, I’m 25 years old. After completing my degree in materials engineering, I decided to take a gap year to travel and gain new life experiences. While on the road, I also tutor high school students in physics and chemistry.
I’m currently in Canada on an open work permit that allows me to both travel and work legally across the country. I’m especially motivated to combine travel with meaningful work, meet new people, and immerse myself in local cultures while contributing positively wherever I stay.
I have a deep appreciation for nature and enjoy hiking whenever I can. I grew up in a home where sustainability and respect for the environment was part of daily life , I grew our own vegetables and raised chickens.
Looking forward to meeting you! -

More details about your skills
Having grown up in a rural environment, I have always been involved in taking care of our family home. I regularly helped our parents grow vegetables in the garden, weed, mow the lawn, feed the animals including chickens and look after our cat, Louna, who is great at keeping the rodents away.
During winter, I also helped our father cut and stack firewood to heat the house.
Beyond home life, I’ve had the opportunity to travel quite a bit , both with my family and on my own — which allowed me to meet people from different backgrounds, especially in hostels.
Two years ago, I also took part in a WWOOFing experience, where I helped a farmer harvest plums and apples, and assisted in bottling cider.
Through my engineering studies, I developed strong scientific knowledge, especially in chemistry and materials science. This has given me a solid foundation in problem-solving and analytical thinking. -
