Description

I love travelling and meeting new people. Not only that, I love to keep busy so lying on the beach is not my thing, Would much prefer to be helping someone with their dreams and life goals.
I am pretty flexible with working as I have volunteered a lot around the world already.
I am a vegetarian but happy to be around meat eaters while cooking and eating.
I have experience of website and social media updating.
I have a full driving licence. I worked for 26 years as a charity fundraiser and left to explore the parts of the world I have not seen yet.

I have volunteered in many places around the world. I have WWOOFED in Japan and Portugal, built schools in Peru, rescued wild animals in South Africa, rescued cats and dogs in Thailand and helped orphans and elders in Sri Lanka. I love to travel the world but at the same time to help others in need. I love learning new things and meeting new people who share the same ideals as I do.

I have completed 5 Workaways so far. 2 in Spain in April and May 2018 working with donkeys, horses, dogs, cats, chickens and ducks. The hosts have said they can give a reference if you wish one. 2 in Italy in Dec 2018 and January 2019. I recently completed one in scotland with a lovely family.

It was great being with Sally and Jerry in their lovely home. I did 3 hours in the morning working in the garden and then a couple of hours in the afternoon helping Jerry with marketing and website stuff.

Christina and her staff are very passionate and hard working and expect that from the workawayers. The work is not 3 hours a day and 5 days a week. I had 2 days off in the 4 weeks I was there as Christina was back and Germany and I was the only volunteer there. Some days I was working 12 hours with just an hour or so to sit and read a book.

I had a great time working with Daniele at the pet boarding centre. The work was a bit longer than 5 hours if you wanted to do a good job, clean out the kennels/cat area and make sure that the dogs and cats have cuddles and time for play.
