Nous sommes un couple bruxellois. Axel a 35 ans, il a été plusieurs années mécanicien vélo, passionné de bikepacking, il apprend actuellement la boulangerie artisanale et durable. Mélanie a 30 ans, architecte de formation, passionnée par les techniques artisanales (tapisserie, ceramique, macramé), elle étudie aujourd'hui les outils pour l'action collective et les dynamiques de groupe afin de vivre à l'écoute et en harmonie dans nos environnements. La découverte de plantes médicinales et les techniques de constructions naturelles sont ses hobbys. Nous aimons tous deux être au contact de la nature avant tout, prendre le temps de s'ancrer, observer, connaître les lieux. La randonnée et le vtt sont des passe- temps que nous pratiquons avec plaisir. Nous aimons aussi la nourriture saine, les échanges engagés, les discussions inspirantes et les moments de rires partagés ensemble. Nous aimons aussi l'artisanat, les savoirs-faires ancestraux qui se partagent et se transmettent. Nous parlons français anglais néerlandais et portugais!

We spent 8 days on the farm. Unfortunately, our experience didn't turn out as we'd imagined. At the time of our stay, tensions between (permanent) residents were running high. As we explained to them during a discussion, it was difficult for the workawayers to find our place and get involved as we would have liked.

Melanie and Axel were nice. Very attentive to their well being (practice yoga, sports everyday…). They would cook like we were an army, in such abundance that we would have quinoa for a week.

Unfortunately Melanie and Axel left way earlier than agreed, in the beginning of the blueberies picking season. It was very hard for the producer that was left without help in the most crucial period of the year, especially after spending time and money to host, feed and train the two volunteers on the upcoming tasks.
