I am travelling to Spain, looking for a volunteering opportunity to stay a bit more. Among other things, I could help with DIY and building projects, light gardening, organising, cooking :)

Hello,
I am Mela, I am 41 and I grew up in the middle of Dolomiti mountains in Italy. In my life I travelled quite a lot, including living in Portugal, Thailand, China and now the UK. Until a few months ago I worked as a university researcher, focusing on community and sustainability-oriented projects. I am taking some time off to decide what to do next in life, and I am eager to widen my horizons by contributing to projects and realities aligned with my values.

I'm quite an easy-going person, I love meeting new people and I'm very curious about other cultures. I'd appreciate a workaway experience that allows to spend a lot of time with other people while I'm working or in the spare time. I'm quite chatty and I try to have fun in everyday life activities. I love animals and open air activities but I also enjoy the time spent indoor cooking or simply chatting with friends. I don't play any instrument but I like singing and enjoy live music and love social dance (swing, tango, blues, contact improvisation... you name it!).

I have decided to have a workaway experience because I'd like to see what's outside the walls of academic labs, while I (hopefully) revive my Spanish :)
