Hello! We are Ruby and Max!
We love an unhurried pace of life, connecting with nature, and learning. We enjoy getting hands on and physical, and moving. We are excited to learn lots of new skills as Workawayers.
We are neat and clean, quiet and considerate of a space. We like to contribute and be helpful wherever we can.
Ruby has a bubbly personality and Max is a little more chill, this way they complement each other well!
We are travelling for 6 months from March 2026 and will return to New Zealand in August. We are so excited to explore and learn and fill our hearts and minds with great memories and new friendships.

Between us we have a mix of gardening (weeding, harvesting) skills, building skills (Ruby helped to make a concrete pavement in a temple once), language skills, hospitality and tourism skills, and teaching skills (Ruby works as an outdoor instructor and Max is in healthcare).

We enjoy hiking and learning new skills or languages. Connecting with people is important to us, and we value kindness, consideration and empathy for others. We are both easy-going, up for games and adventures, and enjoy making people laugh. We love a good chat and think we are pretty good chat ourselves! We love playing with pets and giving them lots of scratches and pats. Lastly, we love food!
